Indra Regent Hotel is situated in an excellent location. There are so many shops for shopping. Different kinds of restaurant find outside the hotel. The hospitality of the hotel staff is very good. Walking distance to Big C , Platinum Plaza and Pantip Plaza.

This used to be the place to stay in Bangkok but that was possibly 30 years ago and things have changed in hotel rooms and peoples expectations. The hotel is over due for a complete make over. The room was adequate but lacking in power outlets in a time when everyone is travelling with phones, laptops, etc that all need to be charged. The bathroom was OK. Breakfast was good and on a large outside undercover terrace. The restaurants in the hotel were over priced, but there are not a great deal of places to eat nearby. The pool was bog and very good with places in and out if the sun. There is a night market in the streets behind the hotel and the Baiyoke Sky Deck which is well worth the visit at sunset. there is a shopping arcade under the hotel but the stall holders were a little aggressive. The big plus was it was easy to get to the airport on the train from there.

I have had many good times at this Hotel 15-20 yrs ago...but on a recent visit to this hotel, i was so surprised to see how it has changed. The lovely lounge on the ground floor, where we use to spend many enjoyable evenings, just chatting and watching sports on the TV.....that has now been turned into a coffee shop area.We used to go to the mezzanine floor and had cocktails in the ladies bar and enjoyed the in house band play there....no more....the rooms upstairs look tired, and it needs a serious upgrade.Although the Hotel is situated right there in the shopping area,it does not have the same appeal anymore.sad...sad....sad

Room Tip: Higher floors have less A/C unit noise

Stayed at Indra Regent two nights on the way to Europe. It was in a very handy position and obviously has been a nice hotel but now very shabby definitely needs a refurbishment. The staff were all very friendly and helpful no problems there. But, there is no free wi if anywhere only expensive packages which we have not encountered for a long time usually always free even if it is in the lobby. Also we had to go online and print out a couple of bookings and they charged a fortune. The room was shabby so hard for staff to make it look clean. All in all I would not consider staying there again.

Room Tip: Not near lifts

Great hotel. Nice place to stay if you love shopping. Hotel is located in the center area. Breakfast was buffet. It was ok. Rooms are clean and spacious. No wifi though. Outside the hotel you can see many good restaurants and malls. All walking distance. Overall, I would stay here again.

Stayed: September 2013
