I’ve stayed at several different hotels in the Sukhumvit area but this is my first time at the Ibis. I was pleasantly surprised. Room was fine. Typical ibis decor if you have stayed at this chain elsewhere. Room had a fridge and a safe big enough to fit a large laptop. Bathroom was clean. WiFi was free with a reliable signal..
staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel has both a breakfast and lunch buffet. Breakfast starts super early , like 4 am or so, which is great if you have an early morning flight or an early excursion.
Location of the hotel is ideal in my opinion. It’s just down the road from nana plaza on soi 4. It’s easy to get on the toll road from there or the sky train at nana station. If you are really lazy, the hotel offers a free shuttle every half hour to nana BTS station.
Only thing that didn’t impress me was the breakfast buffet. Mediocre in my opinion. You can find cheaper and better nearby.
Overall, though, I was impressed with the ibis and I would stay there again.

IBIS is well known for clean, basic comfort at very affordable rates and the Sukhumvit property is no exception. It delivers as you'd expect from any IBIS hotel.

The location isn't that great, but it all depends on what you're looking for. Sukhumvit has become a big shopping mecca, with many very high end malls and a slew of international brands around. If you can't live without Starbucks, McDonalds or KFC, you're in the right place. The hotel is on a narrow, but very busy street that is lined with street food vendors, international bars and many, many massage parlours. You'll be enticed at every step. Or at least, the gentlemen will be. It's all quite sleazy, but very easy to ignore.

The hotel has a shuttle that will take you to the nearest SkyTrain station (Nana Station) but it only takes you there. You can't arrange for it to pick you up. It's a fairly easy walk from the station to the hotel and the Sukhumvit Metro station isn't that much further for the underground trains. TukTuk drivers and taxis are also aplenty from the hotel.

The building is pretty modern and new and the reception is comfortable, with nice, professional, welcoming staff. The lobby is clean and fresh, with comfortable seating, a bar, an Internet cafe and snacks available. There's also outside seating. Parking is available on site.

The rooms are basic, but modern, clean and comfortable. Clean, fresh linens on the beds and enough room for luggage. There's a TV and free (excellent) WIFI and a small fridge. The closet has a safe. Two bottles of free water are provided daily, plus there's a kettle, tea and coffee. The aircon works very well. The only small snag is that the blind does not blot out all the light, so you may well be woken when the sun rises. There's little or no noise at all from other rooms.

The bathrooms have a shower stall, with very good hot water pressure, but like most tropical countries, you can't get totally cold water. Shower gell & liquid soap are provided from dispensers, but there's no other amenities. The towels are quite a bit worn, but clean nonetheless.

Breakfast is available for TB250, but it's usually included in your rate and in fact, it's much cheaper to have it included as part of your booking. The cafe is well maintained and clean, but the choices are a little limited. There's fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, pastries, coffee, tea, juice made with water and a sala bar every day. The hot items vary a little, with the eggs served differently from day to day and the breakfast 'meats' aren't very appetizing as they're all very processed. If you like Asian food to start the day, there are plenty of options, too.

It's a bit of a trek to the main sites that Bangkok has to offer. Even if you take the SkyTrain or Metro, you will have to connect to local buses or tuktuks to reach all the temples and the sights. Taxis will take about an hour in Bangkok traffic to places such as the Royal Palace or Marble Wat. People stay here for the nightlife and shopping, not the tourist attractions, but if you don't mind the commute, the IBIS offers great rates for a very comfortable stay.

Situated ever so slightly away from all the bars on soi 4 this hotel has everything you need for a short stay. Location is perfect if nightlife is your thing and there is no fee to bring a lady back to your room.
The hotel offers an indoor and outdoor bar as well as restaurant, WiFi and even has security on the front gate.
Lovely staff and housekeepers, the only downside is the room I paid for was very small.
All in all would definitely stay again.

The room had everything required from a comfortable bed to good shower and a kettle, safe and small fridge. Go early and the breakfast is terrific - wide choice and hot options rotated every day. I didn’t get bored in a 20 day stay. Later it does get very busy however.
The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The location is great. Wifi did ‘die’ every now and then, but was good 95% + of the time.
Only two suggestions I would make to hotel management: 1) English language channels on the TV. When you feel like it’s your lucky day when Free Willy 2 comes on, something is wrong. Fabulous selection of Thai language channels but for who - not many Thai guests? 2) Virtually impossible to get room serviced in the morning despite leaving very early and placing the relevant sign on the door. I felt penalised for being a longer-stay customer as housekeeping always do the checked out rooms first, despite my sign.
For Accor members platinum status was respectfully and appropriately recognised.
Overall this is a very good property in its price range, representing great value. Over 20 days little things were not perfect sometimes, but not often, and some of that was down to lack of consideration from other guests.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - just keep your expectation at an appropriate level and you should have a good stay.

The most advantage of this hotel is the location , just 10 min walk to the entertainment places in Nana, 15 min walk to BTS station , so basically everything you need is in walking distances, very friendly staff, fast check in and out , for a short budget business trip is recommended ,rooms are small , breakfast was not as good as I expected
