Location: Great view on the Annapurna and the valley.
From the welcoming to the departure day (we stayed 3 nights) we had a great hospitality service (meals, drinks,etc..) , we enjoyed the trek with our guide and the helicopter trip to the Annapurna Base Camp.
The cottage was perfect, with heater during this period of the year (and the hot water bottle in the bed as a surprise).
Will have love to stay longer.
Thanks to Marcus for sharing his knowledge of this beautiful country through the day or at dinner time. You are a real "hotelier" and congratulation to the team for their service.

Dear enna20162016,

Thank you for your kind review. It was our pleasure having you stay with us. It is a joy and privilege for us to meet people from all round the world and to discover so much about different peoples, places and outlooks on life.

So much of what we aim to achieve at Tiger Mountain is in the ‘little things’ - like the hot water bottle, something so simple and yet a charming surprise at the end of the day! It is wonderful to have a great team at the lodge, guides, drivers, cooks, stewards, administration (someone has to do it!) and all - a tight team runs a tight ship.

Nepal is such a wonderful country and it never ceases to amaze how much is packed in to such a small land area - wildlife, culture, topography, scenery....the works! Do return and explore more of this amazing land....and return to share your stories with us.

All good wishes for your 2018 travels,

Marcus, Ishwar, Jhalak, Dol Raj, Lalu and Gyan

We have just stayed for 2 nights at Tiger Mountain and we wished we had stayed longer. Our stay was so welcoming and attentive a truly wonderful experience. We enjoyed great food and attentive and faultless staff who really looked after us.

Our accommodation provided everything we needed and we like its eco friendliness, the hot water bottles in bed at night were a lovely touch. Pre dinner drinks in front of a roaring log fire with fellow guests was enjoyable. We particularly loved our helicopter trip to Annapurna Base Camp - what an experience (very reasonably priced if you can share the experience with fellow guests like we did) and our birding and village walk was enjoyable and informative.

Tiger Mountain has wonderful staff, and great guides. We would highly recommend the experience and let the hotel organise all your activities as they know what they are doing! Outstanding views and a morning wake up call with tea and homemade biscuits to watch the sunrise over the mountains was perfect. D

Don’t hesitate just book it! Thank you Marcus and all the team.

Dear Cantium,

Thank you for your wonderful review which highlights the breadth and depth of our focus to ensure guests are truly cared-for while at the lodge.

Our guides love nothing more than to take guests out to explore the rich flora and fauna of the surrounding forest and farmland. Being from the community, an immersion into the local culture comes naturally and nothing is pre-planned or scripted - all is spontaneous, authentic and a unique snap-shot of the community at that moment.

We conduct a range of wildlife monitoring projects including an annual census of the waterfowl of the Pokhara Valley Lakes that we have done since 2004 and this data goes to the Asian Wetlands Centre (part of Birdlife International). It was exciting for our guides to lead over 50 supporters from local communities, media, academic institutions and other charities in conducting this count.

Equally those guests who wish to opt out and just meditate on the snowy peaks can feel no guilt - everyone is welcome to do as little or as much as they wish.

With all our greetings,

Marcus, Ishwar, Jhalak, Dol Raj, Lalu and Gyan

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge was an amazing place to stay. Impeccable service and incredible views. Ask to go for a walk around the local village or enjoy a spot of bird watching. The fire pit is a great place to spend some time in the evening. I would highly recommend the experience.

Dear BaldEagle66,

Thank you for visiting Tiger Mountain recently - it was a great pleasure meeting you and the group, old friends and new.

Our local guides are all great birders and can even mimic calls and bring birds closer as a result. They also know the wider fauna and flora of the area and receive regular training from Jhalak, Manager Operations.

Best wishes for 2018,

Walking up the stairs, with Fishtail right in front of you is a great introduction to your stay. The service is exceptional, matched by the quality of the rooms and the views!
We did a walk through the village, with out great guide, who was able to give us very interesting insights. An all round amazing experience, would highly recommend.

Dear stapcashmoneypower,

Many thnaks indeed for your great review. Steward Amar, leads on looking after the rooms and keeps everything impeccable with his fellow room stewards. Walking with one of our expert local guides gives an amazing insight life-as-it-is-lived in the diverse communities around the lodge. Nothing is stage-managed and all is absolutely authentic, that day, that hour.

We are all glad you had such an amazing time and recommend us to others - hopefully you will also return and explore more of Nepal....and return to Tiger Mountain.

Best wishes for 2018,

Marcus, Dol Raj, Lalu, Ishwar, Gyan and Jhalak

Dear Joshua Y,

Many thanks for your super review and for appreciating our eco-friendly credentials. We are the only hotel in Nepal to be independently verified and certified by two different organisations, including the GSTC approved Travelife (gold standard). We take responsible toruism seriously and are always seeking ways to minimise impacts and enhance the 4Cs - conservation, community, culture and commerce. To this end we undertake various monitoring programmes to maintain wildlife data (as indicators of a healthy environment) and work with the local communities around the lodge to support their visions for socio-economic development.

Nepal may not be geographically large but you have been high at Gorakshep and lower at Tiger Mountain and have experienced some of the amazing diversity this small country packs in. Do come and visit again,

Dol Raj, Gyan, Lalu, Ishwar, Jhalak and Marcus
