We enjoyed visiting this museum and found it extremely interesting. We learned a great deal about the Himalayas. We started our visit with a film about the Himalayas. In addition to the mountains, we learned about the people who live there, their culture and the environment. We learned about the individuals who climbed the various prams and their extreme challenges. We also saw their clothing and climbing equipment. The museum has beautiful grounds and monuments.

Spend 2 hours here but could easily have spent longer. Lots of fantastic photographs and interesting information about mountains with a focus on the Himalayas and famous expeditions, geology, ecology, the environment, the people. Fascinating and definitely worth a visit assuming that the mountains are at least one of the reasons you are visiting Nepal. I have ticked the box saying that the attraction has a restaurant, as I saw one in the grounds, but I have no idea what it is like!

This museum is not only dedicated to mountains but ethnical tribes and Nepali culture, enviroment issues, animal life etc. I spent an hour there and didn't even notice! I learned a lot and enjoyed my visit!
