Traveling from the western world to Nepal , especially to Kathmandu can be quite a culture shock for the not so seasoned traveller. Whilst Sacred Valley home does not try to replicate your average western hotel, it offers a service and amenities that will make you breathe a sigh of relief as you will really find yourself at home in Nepal here, especially when you return from trekking.
Nabin welcomes you into his 'sacred' family with a warmth and smile and generosity that you can expect from the Nepalese people, but this family run hotel offers more ... a feeling that they really do care about helping you make the most out of Nepal.
I first stayed in this hotel 3 years ago when the hotel I was supposed to stay in was overbooked and I was 'roomed ' out there .... the fact that I have returned there each time I have stayed in Nepal since out of choice ( twice) should be testament enough as to why you should stay there.
Besides the warm welcome from Nabin , his family and staff , for me as a solo traveller, I love the location of this hotel on the edge of Thamel, close to some good restaurants , 1 minute walk from my recommended massage centre ' Seeing Hands ' and 5 minutes walk from a Himalyan Java coffe shop and the tranquil garden of dreams .....More
