I stayed here pre and post trekking. A big positive is that this hotel is right in the middle of Thamel the main tourism neighborhood while being down a quieter alleyway. Wifi is free though you have reconnect every 5 minutes. Hot showers are hit or miss. I found the beds comfortable and the food delicious. Breakfast included with room. Staff were helpful.

Good location, less noisy, Helpful stuff. Now the worst part: Dirty rooms, dirty towels, occasional hot water and very weak WiFi signal. But they have a garden cafe, which is quite good to spend time..

Good location espy if you want a good accessible (food, airport and gift shop)
staffs are friendly and attentive.
We got the first floor ... the room is ok but you need to ask for the mineral water.. Power disruption is normal hence you can hear the genset kicking in. Beware some reason during this time we lost power to our plugs (only lights were functioning). We stayed after our base camp hence our expectations were very moderate.

Hotel is in great location, safe area with helpful staff. Comfortable accommodations as well as nice courtyard for relaxing in nice weather. Wi-fi is available in lobby area but not available in all rooms. Staff was very helpful with local knowledge of the area. There is a locked gear/luggage storage area if you need to store bags while you're on a trek. I felt very safe and comfortable at Blue Horizon. The restaurant has great food at affordable prices.

My flight was delayed SIX HOURS and the hotel van stayed the entire time at the airport and waited me to arrive. Fantastic service!

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Thames market but on a side street so still peaceful. My trek company is partners with it so got to stay about three nights. Staff is lovely and helpful. Rooms are good in size and amenities. The restaurant has a good menu as well.
