The worlds biggest stupa. An amazing and really interesting place to visit. Really quiet, peacefull and charming place amongst all the rush of Katmandu’s streets. Their are nice restaurants to have something to eat while you chill, with nice views of the stupa.

A beautifully built stupa in the very Center of town ..you have to buy a ticket at a very nominal price to visit . One of the famous temple of Kathmandu.

I visited this place on a Friday afternoon and it was super busy. You could not move around. I decided not to get in because of the caos of people. The stupa is very pretty and large in scale. There were a lots of shop and restaurants around.

Beautiful Stupa to walk around. Great photo opportunities.

Recommended staying for lunch in one of the surrounding restaurants - eating on the rooftop overlooking the Stupa. Also lots of small handicraft and souvenir stores around. Easily spend 1-2 hours here.

Visited the Stupa 3 times while in Nepal. We visited the first time with our guide and then chose to walk from our hotel on two other occasions for dinner and shopping.
