Kuamri Boutique hotel was a great find. We stayed in a couple of places in Thamel and this was far the best. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and always greeted you with a smile. The room was a great size, clean and well stocked. The buffet breakfast was ideal including, cereal, fruit, hot food ( veggie and non - veggies), juices, eggs cooked to your liking, as well as a range of pastries. Location ideal but what was most important you were off the main roads so weren’t kept awake from foot traffic or beeping horns.

We spent three days in the Kumari Boutique Hotel before our Manaslu trek.
Exceptional attention to detail and professional service at every level.
Ideal location in the heart of Thamel with no passing traffic.
Great buffet breakfast with a full range.
It couldn’t have been better.
Thank you to all who made our stay so comfortable.

Lovely little hotel tucked down the backstreets of Thamel. Despite being at the heart of the best area for shopping and dining, Kumari Boutique Hotel is a peaceful sanctuary with the most wonderfully attentive staff; from arrival to departure I was made to feel welcomed and valued.

My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good too.

Excellent value for money, wonderful staff and a great location. I highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly helpful staff and good quality of room make this the perfect combination. Good location only 5 minute walk to Thamel shopping streets and bars. Beds were comfy and air con also kept the room comfortable.

The Kumari Boutique is a relatively newly established hotel, tucked away in one of the side roads of the central shopping district, Thamel. It is within easy walking distance of the central sights such as Durbar Square and a taxi ride away from the other main sights in Kathmandu such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath.

The manager of the hotel is determined to receive the highest quality ratings from his guests and from the moment one steps into reception, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are clean, airy and well provided with power sockets, good WiFi and plenty of hot water for the shower. The small restaurant offers a good quality of breakfast with fruit juice, cereals, croissant and pastries, cooked foods and omelettes. Ingredients are consciously sourced from local producers such as organic jams and honey. A Yak cheese platter with cheeses made to French specification can be ordered as a lunchtime or late afternoon snack to accompany end-of-the-day drinks.

At the end of our stay, just before leaving we were presented with a traditional Nepalese scarf for good luck on our Journey which was a very nice touch. This is not 5 star opulence but if you want to be well looked after for a good value price, the Kumari Boutique is a very good choice.
