This temple holds significance for Bhutanese as they come here for the naming of their children. You have to climb a steep flight of many stairs, which will knock the wind out of you due to the rarefied air. But, once at the top, it's serene.

Bhutanese temples are unassuming, non-showy structures. The focus is completely on spirituality.

An ancient monetary situated in Thimphu. You can reach this place within 15 mins by taxi or if you want to do a small trekking, it might take maximum 45 mins to reach here. This is something you should not miss in Thimphu.

We visited it in later half of December afternoon, hence after climbing a flight of steps, there were chilly winds gushing past. It is an old and simple monastery where we didn't find much tourists, hence it was much peaceful. You can't clicks pics once inside it but surrounding views were photo worthy. Must visit when doing Thimpu local tour. Also, would be good to have a guide with you who can tell you about various rituals and history of this place.
