If you've been in Kampala for more than a week, you'll know that there arent many places that fit between "restaurant where you are expected to spend loads or leave the table" and "club with music so loud you cant hear yourself think".
So its a revelation to find just the kind of place where you can have a nice meal or drink with friends and actually hear each other talk, especially with a great people watching location and relaxed menu. We love the weekly wing nights, with the only really good buffalo wings this hemisphere, and the hearty kababs. Music is good and football alternates on the TV with music videos. Only complaint is that you need to leave your vegetarian friends home because there is not much on the menu for them. They've recently expanded the drink menu, which is very reasonably priced.
A constant stream of staff attend to your shisha - keeping it topped up with coals and tobacco. Really good variety of flavours, so you can keep finding new combinations even when you're there three times a week like I am.
