We only stayed here for a few nights but in the end that was enough.

The hotel sits atop one of their downtown shopping centres right on the busiest road in Kampala, which wouldn't be so bad if the room had any kind of insulation against the noise.

The room was just ok, but many of the electrical outlets didn't work and they are not air conditioned. We stayed in one room for one night and due to some mix-up in bookings we had to move to another room for the subsequent 2 other nights.

Both rooms had the same issues, windows that wouldn't close properly, power outlets that don't work, showers with no water pressure and very cheap pedestal fans. The first fan we had short circuited so they took another fan from another room, which wouldn't oscillate properly, to make matters worse, only one outlet was working, so if we wanted the fan on and watch TV, we were unable to charge our phones.

The showers were terrible, it seems that Ugandan builders have no idea on how to build a proper bathroom in most places, and the water either came through as lukewarm or scalding.

Even getting to the hotel was annoying as it's not always easy to spot the hotel sign amongst the multitude of other signs plastered all around the building, and there is no lift, so be prepared to carry everything up several flights of uneven stairs.

Check in was not the easiest as they had no record of our booking at first and then when they found the booking realised that the room was double booked anyway. The cost is cheap enough but there still needs to be a certain level of service maintained. The girls behind the counter are friendly and I guess they are trying to do their best with what they have, but the hotel is in bad need of maintenance. Just by fixing the small inconvenient problems that seem to be everywhere will improve the hotel dramatically. I don't recommend this hotel for families, mainly for solo travellers or those on a budget at the time.

a friend booked me in this one! terribly noisy day and night ,broken window panes with holes and cracks! windows dont shut properly! right in the centre of buzzing kampala. ok for business and if you have meetings in kampala, wouldnt recommend it for more than a couple of nights stay though, and only to come and sleep! breakfast was inedible, omelette was blue! no coffee served! the facilities are not at all as they describe on the website1 no room service! no in house restaurant either! ask for food always some excuse, ingredients not in, gas/electric not working, chef not in, etc, also safety wise it is a serious hazard! no fire extinguishers, not even a first aid box available i cut myself and my partner had to take a taxi to go to a chemist to get some plasters and bandages, not available in the hotel, also we lost our key one night and they had no spares or masters! they made us sleep on their sofas until the morning when the "manager" came in with the keys and he took his time! I explained i had to take my tablets and i had to get back in the room, they didnt care! or bother! by the morning I was having fits! I almost fainted! serious health hazards! we got our things and left straight there and then!

Room Tip: find a better hotel as we say in UK cheap is very costly!

The hotel is great.and very friendly staff..apart from the chef...but the following should be worked on

Cleanness...is a major issue..please but a carpet vacuum cleaner its better than a brush...the toilets should also be clean....the curtain..ohh no...please freshen them up daily and clean them once a week.
The dining table was also very dirty...

also ensure there are no RATS...

breakfast should start from 6am- 10am..so the Chef and waiters should be there by 5am.

You have a goo location and great facilities..please make good use of the,

For those who want to plunge into downtown of Kampala and have limited funds. Nice place to stay with no insects and animals noticed, however be prepared that something might not work in your room (such as lights in the bathroom)...just go and check the room before you check-in

overall very good value for money for those who need hotel just for sleeping!

Room Tip: Ask to show you all available rooms
