I stayed here for 1 night. I have been coming to uganda for 16 years and spend at least 4 months a year here. I had intended to stay here longer as the place is hidden away from the city center, and it looked so pretty and delicately decorated. The rooms are beautiful and the gardens are so unique, but don't be deceived! The place has no air conditioning or fan, so it gets very hot. There were mosquitoes in my room because the net doesn't cover the whole bed and had holes, so lying in this pretty, nicely decorated room at night I got all bitten and was sweating from no fan or a/c. The tv only gets one channel, which doesn't matter to me but may to some. Another big issue is that you can hear everything from other rooms, so it is quiet from the kla noise, but not from other residents - i was awoken at 2 am by mosquitos and heat, and 5 am by my neighbors who did not stop talking until 8 am, and there is a restaurant nearby that played music until after midnight. There are so many Ntinda hotels that are far better though not as attractive. anyway, this pretty place was not worth the pricetag or the sleepless night.

I stayed three times during July and August 2008. It was my first trip to Uganda. I never found anywhere else as nice and it was always a pleasure to return...

Every room I occupied was spacious, nicely furbished and clean. The mature gardens are delightful and neatly maintained. What makes the place so superb are the staff... They made me feel special. Especially, Goeffrey the chef! As a consequence, I've positive praise for the place. The only reason I've not given it an 'excellent' score is that my washing wasn't dry on it's return at my request. It'd been handed in two days earlier, but to be fair it was a Sunday and it had rained! I felt however, that by giving an 'above average' rating they'd not become complacent!

My brother's friends - who live nearby - recommended the hotel, stating that the owner, an ambassador had bought the land ten years previously and waited until the gardens had matured before building and opening a year ago. The proprietor invited all the hotels' guests to a cocktail party and he was constantly referred to as 'Ambassador'!

It's safe to go jogging in the surrounding streets. And the nearby
Kabira Country Club - jacuzzi, sauna or steam room solar heated pool being half Olymic size - gym's open 6 am until 10 pm for which daily membership costs 25,000 Ushs and children 15,000 Ushs.

A 'boda-boda' costs less than one pound stirling - 3,000 to 4,000 Ushs - from the hotel to downtown Kampala.
