I had a group of three young adults staying in Dakar for a week. I was not there, but I had the responsibility for them. One stayed in the room in this apartment. The family was fantastic when we got a little problem. They followed up and helped them the whole way through the stay. They even took them with them out on a trip! And the owner was in touch with me a few times to tell how they manage. WOW! what a help we got!
Thank you so much to Damien and his family!

Stayed at this place for 11 nigts from 23 December. Very nice, friendly and helpful family running the house. The owner responds quickly to all possible questions both before and after booking.
If you want a local feeling of Dakar and you don't need to stay in the city center, this is a good place to stay. Very calm and quiet sandy side street, with shops and places to get food close by. Bakery just around the corner for fresh bread in the morning. Also short distance to main street with public transport and taxi easy to reach. . Nice room and nice bathroom with hot water. The room have a private secure air balcony, and also access to very nice terrace that you are free to use. You should be aware, that due to commonly known water pressure problems in Dakar, during daytime you can not rely on enough water pressure for showers, but late evening and night you will have no problem. Note that there are no problems with access to water in the bathroom, so the african way of a bucket and a scoop works perfectly fine during daytime.
