ONOMO was recommended to me for longer work trip to Bamako. I moved out after 3 days. The place is like a youth hostel. There is no closet in the room, the bathroom is not separated from the sleeping area and overall the room is too small to stay there for a longer time. The pool/garden area is not comfortable with little facilities to work or sit in the shade. The pool is tiny and does not look inviting at all. The staff is not helpful but close to rude and I waited forever for every little service I asked. Breakfast is nothing special and the dinner/bar just really caters for basic needs only. If there is a reception or a conference, which happens nearly every day, you can forget about placing your order within an hour and then you wait for another hour to get your meal. I was absolutely NOT impressed with the security check. The WiFi worked ok.

Onomo Hotel is great for a business traveler in Bamako. Comfortable and clean rooms. The best feature is their very thorough security, one feels quite safe when staying there. Have a gym and small pool and in the evenings some music entertainment on an projector outside by the poolside, though the mosquitoes may limit your stay outside in the evening. Not much to offer in terms of menu variety though but their waitstaff are warm, friendly and very courteous. Oh but their WiFi connection is very frustrating. For anything urgent it’s best to visit the business centre for a cabled internet connection.

The best party about my stay at the ONOMO was the checkout. Youssef was pleasant, efficient and friendly. This was is stark contrast to the terrible service during the other five days here. The ONLY reason someone would stay here is for the good level of security it offers, but not for anything else. The buffet breakfast was awful, the room pokey and the restaurant food very average. While Bamako is hardly a tourist destination there are far better choices in town.

Feels like a hostel . Service 0 . Wifi 0. Infrastructure 0. Lift doesn’t work. Food has worsened over last few visits. Service was bad now poor. Internet somewhat worked but now it doesn’t .
Only plus - Security and airport transfers.

Stayed two nights on a business trip in this stylish, clean and decent hotel. I enjoyed my short stay thoroughly, and even had time to visit the small but functional gym. Slept and ate well, too. Would definitely stay there again. Big plus for the ATM machine in the lobby - especially as the card payment was a bit shaky due to weak internet connection.
