After spending ten days in a very noisy city centre hotel, it was a relief to transfer to this upmarket hotel with outstanding facilities, and good value. I was looking for a quiet environment, with reliable internet access, to assist a student with language studies throughout the day.
On first entering the hotel, I was greeted by the Front Desk Manager, Addisu, who
was quick show me several rooms on different floors, with varying aspects. Although there was some noise from the main street on the western side, it was not intrusive by day, and quietened at night. The tall buildings on the eastern side spoiled the city view.
The room was spacious, and well-appointed. The bathroom was adequate, with a reliable supply of hot water for showers. Free toiletries were provided.
The bedroom and bathroom were scrupulously clean. The security box was placed in an awkward position, on the floor of the wardrobe, so access was difficult.
The hotel's amenities included free access to a gym and a sauna and steam-room. The health spa and beauty parlour appeared to be of a high standard, and were well-staffed.
From the moment of my arrival, I was struck by the warmth and genuine welcome from Addisu and his staff. Throughout my stay, their smiles and polite greetings continued to impress me, and I would like to return to this hotel when I next come to Addis Ababa.More
