This mid-range hotel provided a clean, spacious room that was much larger and more comfortable than expected. I stayed here for 6 nights while attending a conference in a nearby hotel. The breakfast is good, with fresh fruits and freshly squeezed fruit juice, including guava and watermelon. The service was very good, and the manager went out of his way to help me find accommodations at a neighboring hotel for my colleagues, since the hotel was full. I ranked the sleep quality as average only because the bed was extremely hard, but I didn't mind. It's also worth noting that the floors and bathroom were very clean every day.

Room tip: There seems to be construction from nearly every angle, so not sure any one room is better than the next.

Not s bad place, room was modern, clean and tidy, but I did not see any air conditioning, not that it was needed on this trip.

Hotel needs to improve a few simple things which should be standard for the cost of the room!

At breakfast, toaster did not work, and juice dispenser was not working, and although staff were very helpful, you do not expect these issues, for two nights. Also, went for a drink, and white wine was warm, and barmen had to add ice!!!

Overall, not a bad place, but fix the small issues.

Overall a rather pleasant experience if your room faces the front of the hotel, inspite of the well documented "super hard beds" issue. It just meant sleeping on the side instead. Hopefully they will look at these reviews and order some mattress pads or at least add a layer of sponge.

Didn't have breakfast (included) but fish and veggie dish was quite good ... though it was unbelievable that one would be served without standard cutlery and that your room service dishes would be in the hallway for 2 days when cleaners remove them from your room. Nevertheless being centrally located, there are enough dining alternatives nearby.

The surrounding area is affected by the phenomenonon of an entire city that seems to be under construction all at once so this your stay here is affected by noise and dust, and totally uncool that construction workers throw water (I hope it was that) on you as you walk out to the main street. This happened twice. Unnerving for females.

In addition to the very amenable staff, free Wifi and airport shuttle are advantages for this hotel. Overall suitable for business travelers.

Room tip: Ask for a lower floor so you don't have to wait for the elevator and for a room facing the front.

I stayed here 2 nights and it was a pleasant hotel. The rooms are clean and standard for such a hotel aimed primarily at business travelers. Its close to the UNECA office and fairly central in Addis Ababa. Breakfast was fine and I recommend the hotel overall. I had a view of the concrete wall of the next building so ask for a front facing room.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view to the front.

Stayed at the Aphrodite while on business close by. Great location by UNECA (short walk). The best part of the hotel stay was the exceptionally helpful staff. They went above and beyond. Thank you to staff like Sisay and the ladies at the front desk who did everything possible to make sure my stay was comfortable. Thank you. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Great modern shower! Great wifi. The hotel is new. The restaurant is good. Breakfast buffet is not very extensive but pretty good with made to order omelettes, etc. Downsides: noise does travel and it can be noisy at times. Bed can feel a little hard but that seems typical. Good clean mid-range hotel.

Room tip: Great coffee shop round the corner. Safe neighborhood.
