The Hotel Continental is a great historic hotel in the heart of Tangier with views of the harbor. The hotel is easy to find and a short walk from the ferry port even if you are dragging your luggage. It is one of the oldest hotels in Tangier and allows you to "step back in time". (Winston Churchill stayed here decades ago.) The rooms were nice. Not luxurious, but still very comfortable. Good air conditioning. Views of the harbor. No elevator. Staff was nice. The hotel felt very safe. If felt local and Moroccan. Great location to walk around the historic center of Tangier. (Avoid the new hotels that are east of the historic district ... instead stay at the Hotel Continental in the heart of historic Tangier.) And it's very affordable.

Amazing historical hotel on the edge of Medina, facing the port, sea.Nice view. Beautiful architecture, colorful Moroccan design, specially the dining room and its surroundings. Small bazaar shop in the hotel and museum. Very good breakfast on the terrace, good choice, very simple room but with all necessary amenities. A little old fashioned but that's the point of this hotel. Real piece of history.

Minus: room was really simple and not designed like the rest of the hotel, but i wasn't surprised, no hair dryer (but you can ask at the reception to get one)

Room Tip: room 202 was very nice

Great location, ask for sea view; quaint & full of old, Morrish featrures.
A bit like staying in a museum.Very helpful staff, used French
Facilities suited us, but some people would ave issue with no lift. entrance through medina - not recommended you take a hire car (unless very small)

Room Tip: ask for sea view

My family visited the Continental Hotel and found simple, clean accommodations, beautiful architecture and a lovely depiction of Moroccos history. Not a fancy place but rich with culture, history and a lovely staff.

We didnt actuallt stay here , we were hiding from a persistent unwanted local guide. It didn't work, he waited 20 mins. Great tiles, marble a relic to Morrocco with claims to previous past, films and stars, no doubt true. There was nice old chap in the hotel market selling everything Morrocan , very friendly. Hotel seemed deserted , random tourists wandered around no smells of cooking or even drinks being served, very strange. Old interesting arts and old curiousities everywhere, almost museum like. So if you fancy staying in tired museum this is place to go, no doubt some great stories and people have been generated here.
