We only visited the riad to enjoy the Moroccan hammam experience, and it was incredibly worth the visit!!! Fati, the hammam masseuse is very gifted and made you feel so at ease. The Morrocan hammam experience consisted of a body scrub with black soap and one hour of heavenly massage (including head massage). The whole experience ended with a delicious mint tea and Chebakia ( sesame cookie) which was served to us on the terrace by the lovely lady Myriam. The staff were very friendly and if we had to go back to Rabat, we would definitely stay in this beautiful riad.

Beautiful riad, slightly more modern feel to the classic riad. Wonderful breakfast, extremely friendly hosts/staff with great recommendations and tips for the area. Very convenient location, near Bab Chellah right in the medina. Fantastic stay, would absolutely stay there again.

My husband and I just got back from three weeks in Morocco, which was ended with the most delightful afternoon and night at the Riad El Maati. From the first greeting by Ebdu (sp), the tour of the facilities, his delivery of fresh orange juice, then the details of our room, this young man was the most exceptional ever. Also, he told us about the dinner there, which sounded just divine and so relaxing, a prix fixe meal of French/Moroccan food that was the best of the trip. Even the cab driver Ebdu arranged was on time, polite and helpful despite the early hour. Thank you for everything!!!

Room Tip: They are ALL good rooms.

I immediately felt I was amongst friends. The staff were warm and caring without being obtrusive. The owner devoted a whole morning of his time to locate a camera part for me. He did this with quiet confidence and succeeded, heaven knows how!

Room Tip: As in Moroccan homes/hotels, there are no views. The rooms all face a central courtyard, which is very pleasant.

A medina is always bubbling and fizzing. But sometimes you need a rest. After you have closed the door, you are in a oase of silence and rest. Great helpfull staff who also explained me how to cook Moroccan dishes. Loved it. Thanks.
