We stayed at the beautiful Dar Al Laimuna in October last year. It was pure paradise. Amazing 4 poster beds made us feel like royalty, with chic bathrooms with Moroccan tiles and soap stone. We loved standing on our private balcony looking out over the lawn (the olive oil comes from the olive trees in the garden - delicious), towards the stunning and dramatic Atlas mountains. All this to the gentle sound of sprinklers and the pool, and the amazing cook, Latifa, preparing breakfast on the veranda.
The staff are divine, and all speak French. The cook is fantastic, lunches were salads and yummy little filled pastries/quiches by the pool and lunch was served to us by the lovely maid, Zubeidah and the charming Sa'eed, who also makes the fires if you're chilly (which we weren't, but we appreciated the extra indulgence). Saeed also speaks English and could answer all our touristy questions.
We wanted for nothing, Saeed also organized transport for us into Marrakech which is only 20 minutes away, and offered to take us to the Souqs to help barter.
After the bustle of the souq, it was heaven coming back to the calm and serenity of the villa, a game of tennis followed by a G&T on the lawn as the sun dipped behind the mountains....we have already booked our visit this summer, with friends..Can't wait.More
