We recently got back from a lovely stay at Dar Zaman: great location, food and service!

The riad is really comfortable and smartly furnished; staff are very warm, friendly and helpful. We anticipated the riads to be impossible to find but Dar Zaman is a 2 minute walk from a taxi drop-off point on the edge of the medina which makes it a great, safe location – it’s also not far from lots of restaurants and the main square / souks. We didn't get lost once!

The dinners we had in the Riad were the best that we had while we were in Marrakech. We would definitely recommend eating in the Riad a few nights – lovely atmosphere, delicious food and great value for money compared to the Moroccan restaurants that we found in the Medina (overpriced and not very good).

We would highly recommend Dar Zaman to couples or friends of any age group!

Me and my girlfriend stayed at riad dar zaman for 4 nights and we loved it, the staff are always smiling if you need any help with getting around the staff will organise it for u. What ever you want them to do, for example, make breakfast 2hrs before the specified time, it would be made. We never heard them say no or we cant do it. The people who work at the riad enjoy what there do which in return makes you enjoy your stay.

The riad is located pretty close to the main square, i dont like walking but the walk is enjoyable and only takes about 10mins/15mins. The locals around the riad are very nice to, apart from the local kids who are very cheeky but cute who try to hassle you for money. The local tourist guide shops are pretty good and reasonably priced (theres always additional costs on the tour).

When your in marrakech never pay the first price you are told when you are in the shops unless it is marked with the price.

Overall a brilliant Riad, brilliant staff and an Amazing location. Oh by the way i proposed to my girlfriend on the roof terrace of the Riad :).

We had an argument over whos going to write a review so we decided we both will, so watch this space... :)

We were in Marrakech for the first time last March and had a wonderful time. The Medina was hectic but very interesting. Certainly a different way of life to what we are used to. The Riad was excellent with Peter and his staff being very friendly and helpful. We ate in the Riad once and the food was very good. We also ate at a restaurant about a 5 minute walk from the Riad (sorry can't remember the name but it was a former Riad) that was quite up-market. It was really nice. After getting directions from Peter on our first day we decided to return in daylight to ensure we remembered the way back through the many narrow streets. After that first occasion we did not get lost for more than a minute though it would be very easy.

This was a great Riad to stay in. Peter (the owner) as well as Asraf, Anour and Melinka really went out of their way to ensure we had a great time by showing us around, suggesting restaurants and places to visit, being flexible with breakfast, arranging trains, taxis, and bus tickets, etc. We also had a great massage at the hamman Les Bains de l'Alhambra recommended by the riad. The dinner and breakfast were both quite good. The riad is well situated for visiting main sites too.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good but the La Terrasse room also has access to the roof terrace

This is an excellent Riad. We enjoyed a really nice hotel - clean and well finished with an authentic feel. The staff can't do enough to help you, in a friendly (not over-powering) way and the food is excellent - again in a "real" way (we had breakfasts, and dinner on our first night).

The other reviews meant our expectation was high and we weren't disappointed!

(The sleep quality wasn't the hotel's fault - party nearby on last night!)
