Marrakech is probably a love it or hate it place, so that needs to be taken into account first.
This is a one star hotel. The decoration and facilities are somewhat tired, but I found that they provided minor problems to solve.
The building is really lovely, tiled interior gardens/courtyards onto which balconies open. The roof terrace is rather splendid offering a pleasant place to sit.
The staff could not be more helpful. The feel of the place is very friendly. The breakfasts are simple but excellent (well I really liked them) and the rooms are comfortable enough. The hotel is situated in the centre of Marrakech.
Mostly I never stay in hotels less than 4 stars, but here the dissonance between between a smart hotel and the surrounding area would be marked. At Le Gallia the move from street to hotel felt more in tune with the place and as a consequence much more comfortable. We spent a week there and I have to say that in its way it is as nice a hotel as I have ever stayed in - and the price is very, very cheap. Thoroughly recommended.

I was really surprised how calm and quiet it is when sitting under trees in the courtyard basically in the city center. Rooms are nice and clean, the receptionist helpful, arranged early morning transfer to the airport. Very comfortable bed. They might have some deal with a restaurant nearby as they were always recommending it, anyway didn't use it. It was a nice stay.

This riad is cozy and well maintained. The room was clean and the courtyard really enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful too. Very good location. For a very reasonable price we also got (French) breakfast everyday that included Moroccan tea, fresh orange juice, croissant, pan au chocolat, baguette with jams.

The hotel is very cosy and not very expensive. It is in the Medina, so everything is at a walking distance. The receptionist really helped us out with all our questions and the breakfast was wonderful! The hotel is quite quiet although in the middle of the Medina, which was nice. Next time we will go to this hotel again.
