“Gorgeous Riad!!!”
Reviewed 27 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

An stunning Riad hidden away down a series of alley ways . Incredibly peaceful yet just a ten minute walk from the Djemma El Fna. Loads of space over three levels , a refreshing plunge pool, beautiful furnishings , a roof terrace with tented area and tortoises. Atiqa and Khadia made us some amazing dinners and we had a fantastic breakfast each morning to start the day. Stuart couldn't have been more helpful before hand giving us lots of useful information and being at hand to help plan our various trips. You will not be disappointed if you book this Riad!

“Authentic Moroccan atmosphere, fantastic staff and perfectly located within the Medina.”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My husband and I along with our 3 teenage sons enjoyed a fabulous 2 week holiday in Morocco starting off in Marrakech with 3 nights at Dar Soulahfa which I have to say was fantastic. Stuart the owner was most helpful with the arrangements and provided excellent information which helped us as we explored the Medina. Najem who proved to be both reliable and friendly provided a transfer from the airport to the riad. His English and driving were both good.
Dar Soulahfa was located in a quiet little street with a short walk to the main square but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech life. The interior provides an authentic Moroccan atmosphere and we enjoyed our time spent in the riad just as much as when we were out and about. Atica the cook and Kadijah the maid were lovely, they looked after us so well and maintain the high standard of the property beautifully. My son's enjoyed the splash pool which was a welcome escape from the July heat and the roof terrace was both spacious and relaxing.
We enjoyed dinner at Dar Soulhafa which was amazing and is highly recommended. Out and about the Medina was a fascinating place and the riad is perfectly located within it. Najem is available as a driver should you wish to venture further and we booked him to drive us to Essaouira where we spent the rest of our holiday. All in all our time in Morocco and especially at Dar Soulahfa was a great experience with wonderful memories which I would not hesitate to recommend.

“The best medina experience”
Reviewed 20 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We had a few days to spend in Marrakech, and wanted to get the most out of it. Dar Soulahfa gave us the perfect starting point to explore the whole medina. Strategically located in the heart of it, yet just far enough off the main track to enjoy some quiet time. The moment you pass the door, you enter an oasis of calm and peace, which is the necessary opposite to the frantic street action, so you can enjoy both at their best.
The riad itself is very confortable, everyone was satisfied with their rooms and the spacious open spaces, living room and especially the large roof terrace which is a real bonus.
Atiqa and Hadija cooked amazing food for us, you definitely don't want to miss their tajines and salads.
The A/C, Wifi and other commodities were appreciated bonuses.

We had the craziness to get there driving our rental car. Stuart, the owner, was not so keen with the idea but still gave us perfectly accurate informations to get there. It worked like a charm.
And for the overall process Stuart was very accomodating, despite our numerous last-minute changes. It just never felt like a problem.

We are just waiting for another opportunity to get back to Dar Soulahfa and keep exploring the medina again and again !

“Dar Soulahfa is a wonderful place to relax!”
Reviewed 18 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Stuart, the owner, was very helpful before we arrived, and he provided us with all the information we could possibly need for a week's stay. We were picked up from the airport by Najem, who was available to take us wherever we wanted to go. He speaks French and English, and has a wicked sense of humour! At Dar Soulahfa, the two ladies who provide breakfast, clean, and will cook an evening meal at an extra cost, are amazing! They are so cheerful and provided delicious varied evening meals for us, five nights out if seven. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and the sitting areas and salon were very well equipped with books, magazines, DVDs and CDs. The roof terrace is inhabited by two very friendly tortoises and a pair of semi-tame sparrows/finches. It is a good place to relax in the evening and watch the storks and swifts fly overhead!
Do not hesitate to book this Riad!

“Comfort, calm and cool ... Metres from the crazy street life of the medina.”

This owner has used his imagination to anticipate what guests might want on a visit to Marrakech. We are glad we used Najeem, the driver, to help us find the Riad - and for our first experience of the barmy rules of the road in this city ... scratch that ... there are no rules! On the way from the airport to the riad he took us to the supermarket which was (as it turned out) the only opportunity we had to buy some wine as the shops in the Medina don't sell alcohol. The Riad is bang in the middle of the Medina with all its colour and hustle and craziness but the moment you shut the door calm and comfort descend. It is comfortable, authentic and tasteful but ina funny way the highlight was Atiqa and Hadija the ladies who made breakfast and cleaned. They are unobtrusively fantastic - do please get them to make you dinner - it will be amongst the best meals you have here. They really did make us feel welcome. We had a good trip to the waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains courtesy of Najeem - you might be gently guided by him to a Argan oil co-op but it probably has more integrity than the herbalists in the city and better value to boot. The Riad also has wifi which was an unexpected bonus.
