Booked Azar restaurant in advance after reading reviews and glad i did, as it gets busy from 9pm onwards. Its a lovely restaurant inside very plush looking. Food was plentiful and service was good. Belly dancers come on around 10pm and were great dancers, then another entertainer after, band later. We didnt stay late enough for that. This is a great place to come if you want to spend all night in there. You can also have Shisha too in lounge area. Dress any way you like. Prices not bad but not cheapest, but you get entertained so worth it.

We escaped the medina to find this lovely restaurant in Gueliz. My boyfriend booked in advance and they were ready for us on arrival. The cocktails were delicious as was the food. We went on a Sunday eve and the live music and belly dancers were fun!

Few tips:
- it’s a little dark in there so I suggest an afternoon nap before visiting!
- the cous cous was lovely but definitely for two people
- book at table for 8.30/9pm as the dancers don’t start until 10pm and it was a little quiet in there when we arrived at 7.45. It had a nice atmosphere but benefited from having extra people.

Enjoy!

This was our first evening in Marrakech. I had made a reservation at Azar based on reviews. We have always enjoyed Lebanese food.

We arrived at 7 pm and were the first people there. We were told that they didn’t open til 7:30 pm, but they suggested that we have a drink on their outdoor “living room”. We ordered two drinks that were provided in beautiful metal urns. They were delicious although I can’t say they were rich in alcohol. The presentation was excellent. When we were seated, we noted the beautiful decor and attentiveness of the staff. A nice wine was suggested for our meal that was reasonably priced. The baba ganoush and hummus were outstanding and the kibbe and meat sambusek were some of the best we have ever had. The lamb tanjine was also delicious. Actually there was not one thing we had that was just OK. We had a chocolate crisp for dessert that was also outstanding and crispy. Rose water was brought over at the end for us to wash our hands.

The attentiveness of staff and manager, the quality and value of the food, and the atmosphere, including some wonderful live instrumental music, make this restaurant a “must go to” while in Marrakech.

The food was amazing, there was also an entertainment at 10 pm, It was very good, there were belly dancers which my sister and I absolutely loved. You also have the opportunity to do Shisha in another section of the restaurant. The staff were really lovely. I would definitely recommend people to go there.

Went here with my family as it was a short walk from our hotel. We were celebrating our last day in Morocco and this restaurant made it so memorable. We stuck to tapas and we did not regret it. Our favorite part? The DESSERT and watermelon hookah. I wish I remembered the names of the dishes, but I went off of one other reviewer's picture and our waitress assured me which one to order. AMAZING! The watermelon hookah was just as amazing, my parents first time and our server made the experience so fun! Throwing around charcoal like a pro.
