The taxi driver got us close and then had to ask someone where the restaurant was: one street further on and we were there, stopped outside what was made to look, to all intents and purpose, like a seafood shack. Good job we'd reserved, as every table was booked up and the couple who followed us in were turned away.

The food was excellent across the board: from my soupe de poisson, through octopus salad, on to mains of turbot, seafood linguine and John Dory, and then the classic desserts of creme brulee and mousse de chocolat! Everything was well presented and with accompaniments that supported the main acts. The service was good too, relaxed but attentive.

I'd happily go back to Chez Mado.

Had an excellent meal, staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had the fish soup and dim sum for starters and then sea bass special and the red snapper for main. All was excellent. Would definitely recommend if you want high quality seafood !

Popped in for a light supper as we had eaten a big lunch and we could not resist the ala carte menu - brilliant oysters and then an excellently tender fillet in pepper sauce. Just melted in our mouths! Will definitely go again and cant recommend it highly enough.

This is a little restaurant where you should always make a reservation if you want to get a free table.

On arrival there were problems with the reserved number of guests.

But the problem was solved.

We ordered Oysters, pasta with seafood, calamares and fish ravioli.

All of the taste, presentation and preparation was average.

The service was attentive and friendly.

The prices were average.

My individual personal rating:

Ambiance: 3 points
Service 3-4 points
Prices and value for money: 3 points
Preparation, presentation and taste of meals: 3 points

Located on a side street & once through the almost run down entrance this restaurant did not disappoint. Starter of advocating with fish very enjoyable although could have done with a bit more flavour. I had seafood linguine which was lovely & had loads of different fish. Friends had the seabream & the bass - again tasty. Puddings large - the isle flottante was the biggest I've seen & tasted good. Friendly staff. 1200 DHR for 4 including bottle of wine.
