Could not fault Riad Assakina. It is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the Medina, a chance to lock yourself away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech life.

It is run by an English couple, Michelle and Grant, who treat you as friends and are always on hand to help or advise and the staff they employ are excellent.

Would go to Marrakech again just to stay there.

We spent four wonderful days at the Riad Assakina. It had been highly recommended by a work colleague of my husband. Michele and Grant were great hosts, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Marrakech then why not stay in this beautiful traditional Riad.

There are many glowing reviews on this forum for this wonderful Riad but quite simply there are 2 reasons why you should look no further and book your stay here today. If you are going to come to Marrakech you have to stay in a traditional Riad not one of the 5 star hotels in the french quarter that are no different to thousands of other hotels around the world. So why this Riad?
Firstly location. It doesn't get any better. Ten minutes from the famous square, right next to the Baha Palace. There are a few different routes to take to the square so always something different to see and experience in this wonderfully chaotic city.
Secondly, something money can't buy, your hosts and soon to be friends, Grant and Michele. Nothing is too much trouble for this couple and their exceptional team. They make you feel so welcome you feel as if you are coming home after each venture away from the Riad. Terrific restaurant recommendations and local tips that will make your trip truly memorable. As someone that has done a lot of travelling I cannot recommend this Riad highly enough. Book today, you won't be disappointed.

As a treat, my mum took my sister and I to Marrakech with a friend of hers who had stayed at the Riad before. What a delicious place to stay! The Riad is quite simply stunning. It has been designed and furnished to an incredibly high standard yet retains a true sense of comfort. Michelle and Grant were fantastic hosts and generously shared their local knowledge and gave their time to enhance our trip. The staff were wonderful and attentive. We were lucky enough to eat in one night and the food was heavenly. I hope to take my husband before the end of the year as I know he'll enjoy the hustle and bustle of the Souks and then the calm and serenity of the Riad.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable.

I recently spent the most wonderful five days with my two daughters and one of my best friends. This riad is the most beautifully furnished, very comfortable beds, amazing staff, Michel and Grant couldn't have done more to make our stay a memorable experience. We long to go there again.
