7 of us visited Eden Andalou Hotel Aquapark and Spa for three nights at the start of October. The grounds are gorgeous, the hotel has beautiful moroccan inspired rooms and it’s super clean. I understand the reviews but the food was really the only thing we had a issue with. The selection is quite poor and salad bits have seen better days. The dining room is a bit like a canteen and lacks atmosphere with a lot of flys. I mean we were only there three nights and ate out once as such poor choices and the same choices at lunch and dinner.
The bar staff worked hard, some were so accommodating and others were very difficult. The two drinks per person was nonsense esp when you have 7ppl they wanted the whole lot of us to go up to the bar which actually makes their job more difficult and creates a very large line. Omar on reception was horrid. He lied and changed the taxi price every time we spoke to him it. It came time to pay for our taxi and he added on another 100 diram after it had already going up by 100 which did not go down well. The taxi was already hugely over priced so everyone haggled with the driver and got the price down but he was rude and trying to con us. The entertainment team do a great job over all for the price we loved and and the waterpark is great fun.

We arrived at the hotel and first impressions where good was offered a mint tea our room was clean.
We were looking forward to the food but was AWFUL !!! Salad bar had fans to keep the food cold broken bowls that soggy salad sat in and also so many flies we were disappointed i had some dry pizza that i waited 10 minutes in a queue for the drinks was a lady with a trolley pouring flat drinks sitting in bowls of water,
The pool area was nice.
The entertainment staff was nice and really try to get you involved in aqua zumba and other activities. momo in particular was just so friendly happy and a great entertainer he makes the hotel.
After the bad lunch experience we booked the morrocan resturant in the hotel was the WORST DINNER we have ever had the chicken tagine was burnt dry and sat on cold olives i complained and was bought out some more dry chicken with flavourless cous cous the drinks were so weak.the next day we complained to the manager he just laughed at us.
The entertainment was better than nothing but way to noisy we didnt sleep the first night very well due to the noise.we used the spa had a relaxing massage and used there indoor pool the staff were great in we discovered oposite the spa was a private pool we spent all day there and next day as well.
We lived off pizza and pasta from the hotel it wasnt that nice.
We made the best of this 3 star not 5 star hotel for our friends birthday and isnt entirely all inclusive they get you to pay for your drinks after 10.30pm and its roughly a thoasand diriam so very pricey.
I WOULD NEVER BRING MY CHILDREN HERE.

Me and 3 friends arrived for an all inclusive weekend break. It was a nice lobby and welcomed with a Mint tea. The welcome was ok and our room was lovely can’t vault the room. We arrived just in time for lunch and I thought It want 5* I basically lived on spag bowl twice aday for 4 days and pizza. Pool was nice not too busy. We found a pool round the spa that no one went to and stayed there all day. The only other option for food is a Morrocon restaurant that you have to pay to eat at. DONT BOTHER going, Beautiful setting but the food was terrible, The food in the buffet was better. We asked for a chicken tagine and got a dry chicken leg on a bed of olives. We were still hungry after we went over to the buffet and got pizza. We tried to complain and say we weren’t paying but the manager just laughed at us. That wasn’t very nice. Cocktails were terrible don’t bother with the pina colada. After 10:30pm you have to pay for drinks.

Dear Victoria,

We would like to thank you for taking the time to write a comment about your recent experience at Eden Andalou Aquapark & Spa.

Kindly note that we are among the first 5* of Marrakech, our infrastructure is that of a 5 * see the description of the hotel (48m² suite, 4 pools, spa, mini club, Aquapark, 2 restaurants, 4 bars ... etc) all this at an average price of 70 euros / person.

We regret that our service has not been entirely satisfactory, rest assured that we make daily and permanent efforts to continuously improve the quality of our services.

We wish you a nice day !

On first impressions the hotel was lovely, fresh peppermint piss tea and flavourless biscuits on arrival, our room wasn’t ready as we got there early in the morning so we went for a look around, went back later and was given our room key, we said we don’t mind taking our bags but Geoffrey insisted on taking them which was nice, until he dropped our bags of and said “tips” we hadn’t unpacked our bags to have any money so gave him the loose change we had in our pockets (was tempted to do the home alone thing and give him my chewing gum) after we had stopped laughing about the fact he was so rude we went to the water park, which was short lived... The couple who I went with always wear T-shirt’s in the pool to stop them getting burnt, but as soon as the cotton touched the water the lifeguard was over telling them to get out as your not aloud T-shirt’s in the aqua-park... so we awkwardly sat on sun beds pretending to enjoy the extremely loud music which i can only describe as some sort of rap/grime the sort you’d probably hear blasting from a 17 year olds car, every other word was a swear word, I don’t think any of the kids in the aqua park were English so let’s hope none of them try and rap the songs in the restaurant that evening!

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so if you leave the hotel you’ll likely end up ran over from the free for all driving or dying of dehydration trying to find somewhere to go. We booked a few excursions which were amazing otherwise we would have been bored stiff!

The food in the restaurant was a vegetarians dream, if you love aubergine for breakfast or something thats resembles scrambled egg but someone accidentally poured a kettle over it, moister than an ouster ... this place is for you! I lived off pasta and tomatoes all week and somehow lost 5lbs while away because I didn’t like most of the food! (If your looking to loose weight bin off the gym and book yourself a week here)

The entertainment was poorly planned, most nights it would say cabaret... turned out to be some sort of michael Jackson tribute, always meant to start at 9:45 but 9:45 in Morocco is more like 10:15 and finished at 11.... 11 also the time when the bar shutters come down and no more “all inclusive” drinks are served, where all life in the hotel came to an end, apart from one little sweat box room where and all inclusive hotel charged 100dh about £9 a drink for a vodka and coke,

All the drinks were watered down or just extremely weak and nothing lively ever happen, apart from one night we managed to somehow get drunk, probably the most lively night that hotel had ever had.. just saying.

If you like a holiday where you just lay and not leave the hotel this is for you! But don’t forget your ear plugs!

Ps the lady with the drinks trolley at lunch and dinner, you were amazing so polite and remembered what drinks we were drinking, made my holiday! what a babe!

Enjoy
