I stayed with my wife and it was a great experience to stay here. Only two nights but I wished we've stayed longer. Monique has a great staff and they are very helpful and kind. Breakfast was delicious in the central patio which is beautiful.
We also had dinner there and it was delicious! Very cozy place, lovely staff, HIGHLY RECOMMEND to stay here.
Monique, the owner made us feel like home. She is a great host.

I stayed here for 4 nights with 2 friends (all middle aged women). Riad Norma was a major highlight of 10 days in Morocco. Owner Monique renovated the property 12 years ago. She created a comfortable, stylish guest house -- soaring atrium with a cooling central fountain, a deep plunge pool, and extraordinary furnishings, tile and wood work throughout. My ground floor room was huge, with good storage. Bed very comfortable. Bath had good towels, great tub and faucets, and more storage space. Meals served on the patio -- breakfasts featured fresh Moroccan breads, homemade jams, yogurt. We requested eggs: next morning, there they were, cooked to order. Dinners (you need to request in advance) were among the best food we had in Morocco, cooked by the Moroccan chef, and infused with Monique's French culinary sensibilities. Her staff is attentive, non-intrusive, and really caring. Our needs were met almost before we thought of them. Monique herself is a thoughtful hostess. A longtime denizen of Fes, she is a wealth of insight and information for her tourist guests. She also has glorious taste in music, which plays quietly throughout the day. Norma is well located at one edge of the Medina (a complicated place to negotiate), making for easy access to transportation and to the rest of Fes.

Room tip: Choose a ground floor room (they're great) if stairs are an issue.

We had a delightful stay at Riad Norma. The riad is situated near the southern city wall of Fes el-Bali and is a true oasis of calm and relaxation within the old medina. Monique is a wonderful host and pays attention to every detail. The decoration of the bedrooms and common quarters of the Riad is fabulous. The garden with swimming pool is lovely. The food was the best we had during our stay in Morocco.

We stayed for 2 nights at the fabulous riad Norma. Monique was the most lovely and wonderful host and we were atonished by the amount of work (and the result!) of renovating place in a quiet area of the medina. The whole riad is huge, level of details of the woodwork and stone incredible, the room spacious, cool in the August heat and very comfortable. The garden and small swimming pool are lovely for shade and to cool off after a hot day. Breakfasts were very tasteful and fresh. And what I especially liked was the beautiful (classical) music throughout the day: waking up with Satie and Chopin in this astonishing place was the best.

Spent 3 nights at the Riad Norma with some close friends to celebrate our joint 25th wedding anniversaries. We have been to Morocco many times, but not to Fes. The Riad is located on the edge of the Medina, near to one of the gates-this makes navigation much easier, and has great access. Vehicles are not allowed in the Medina and therefore if you are staying in the centre you will have a long walk with all your cases.
This Riad has been lovingly restored by its owner, Madam Monique and is absolutely beautiful- as always there is a tension between wanting to explore the city, and just relaxing in the Riad. The rooms are huge, with very tasteful furnishings and bathrooms.
Breakfast is sumptuous- yoghurt, honey, pastries, fresh orange juice, eggs, toast and tea or coffee. Madam Monique will cook for you in the evening if you wish- we ate out in a highly rated restaurant one night, however the food and the ambience were better at the Riad- and you don't have worry about finding your way home.....
The whole stay was enhanced by the delightful Madam Monique who was great company, and an attentive host.
Fes is not as instantly accessible as Marrakech, but has a charm of it's own. It does not have a central square which makes navigation a bit tricky!
We we there in November, and there were very few westerners around and about, but apart from when we wandered into an area of the Jewish Quarter that we were clearly not supposed too, were made to feel very welcome.
I would highly recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Fes. Many thanks.
