“Great location to Paramount Theatre”

Located about a block west of the Paramount Theatre, a wonderful spot for a drink or a meal. We went after a play and we had reservations (recommend). We enjoyed the buffalo chicken sandwich and the monthly on tap beer special ($4.00). The sandwich was little more spicy then expected. Service was attentive.

Neat place. As we all know, not every restaurant hits on all cylinders or pleases each and every one of us, every time. We all have different views, based on so many particulars. Saying that, we stopped in for dinner on Friday, April 13 before seeing the Jay Leno show at The Paramount.4 of us were greeted upon entering (and yes, they were busy), directed to our table where service from Hally was almost immediate. We were seated right next to the kitchen and maybe that's why she saw us so fast, we can't be sure, as the layout of the restaurant didn't really allow us to see how service was elsewhere, nor were we they for that. Hally recommended some appetizers, which turned out great. The Huge mozzarella sticks are NOT your standard ones, nor was the accompanying sauce, which was so different from the norm, but simply outstanding. She told us it is made in house daily, was sweet, with a touch of spice sauce, almost blackberry in color. Complimented so well. The pretzel logs are just that, big and also came with an in house cheese sauce. Before we ordered dinner, Jason, who introduced himself as the manager, inquired on our appetizers, gave us some suggestions for dinner and went about his busy duties, as the place was rocking due to the upcoming concert in an hour. We did notice how attentive he was to the several high top tables in and around us and tried to meet everyone at the door, all why checking on staff and patrons throughout the restaurant. Very hands on,organized, friendly and seemed to have things well under control. We took his advice and had fish and chips, Reuben sandwiches (their sauerkraut had a wonderful flavor, obviously made in house) and a Diablo burger with ghost pepper cheese less(yes, ghost pepper), that had quite a kick, but nonetheless, was very good. Enjoyed the place and really enjoyed the menu offerings, as there are things made there in a way I can say I haven't seen elsewhere. As we finished up, Jason once again came by to ensure we enjoyed our visit. We did and most certainly will be back.

4th visit to Leland Legends. One good, two so so and one just plain wierd. Four of us for pre theater dinner. Kitchen had another off night. Server was quick and let us know up front the fryers weren't working. All four orders came out not as advertised. Caeser side salad with no Caeser dressing. Two ruebens served on marble rye not toasted or grilled. Turkey sandwich supposed to be on parmesan crusted sour dough came out with no parm. Weird thing all the food tasted good just not as on menu. Place has potential to be a really good restaurant if they can be more consistent in the kitchen.
