They remodeled and although it has a more open feeling, nothing was done to address the noise level. It can be a difficult place to hear others at your table even if you're a table of 4. If I am meeting with friends, I go elsewhere because you can't hear. They have increased their pricing at least twice in the past 1-2 years. Where iced tea was $1.99, now it's $2.69. There was a time you could get a simple eggs and toast breakfast, drink and tip for about $10; now it's more like $16. They also went through a time where they obviously were looking for a way to cut their expenses. For instance, instead of serving package jam, they now make their own preserves that is inconsistent in texture and taste. They changed the hollandaise sauce to making it themselves. It had a different taste each of several visits, none right, so I stopped ordering eggs benedict. The most recent try showed it had improved. but still not great. The service is excellent. The food is very fresh and good. Staff is exceptional. It's a dependable place to go for good food but it's gotten too pricey to go often.
