Very Nice evening, I love it when the waiters can keep up with my water drinking habit. Food was very good .. Grilled Calamari had a red sauce and a bit of a kick but still enjoyed. Langastino ravioli was also quite nice. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their fish and other dishes.

Three of us had an early dinner there recently before seeing a play nearby. We were a bit surprised at how busy the restaurant was as it was before 6 pm. but we did have a reservation. Also surprised that they did not have any Italian wine on the wine list. Hope they add some soon. We ended up with a bottle of Cupcake which was just okay. We each ordered an appetizer and that was a mistake. Each appetizer was huge: the frito misto was entree size; the mussels and clam dish sported the largest mussels any of us had ever seen and again the dish was entree size. The third appetizer was a beef carpaccio. Our waiter should have warned us that three appetizers would be too much food for three people. But we went ahead and ordered entrees because there were choices we couldn't pass up: osso bucco, linguine pescatore, and spaghetti and meatballs. All three dishes were tasty and portions went home with us. I especially recommend the osso bucco which was a special of the day.

It's hard to find an Italian restaurant that actually makes its own pasta. I am so glad we found this place. My husband and I went with another couple. Two of us had spaghetti and veal meatballs. Sounds simple but it's hard to find really good spaghetti and meatballs and theirs dish was excellent. Looking forward to eating the leftovers. My husband had black pasta with Shrimp and other seafood. He never had black pasta (squid ink) and enjoyed it. The last person had the lobster ravioli and completely cleaned his plate! Too bad we were stuffed from dinner so we didn't get to try dessert, we will definitely be going back.
The staff there is extremely friendly and the service excellent.

My wife and I went here last night around 8:15 for dinner. The place was crowded, we did not have a reservation but we did get the last table for 2. It was kind of close to the front door and it got a little cold when people came in, left or held the door open. We had a couple of different people come and help us at first (the hostess, the owner? and a waitperson) and someone asked us what we would like but we did not have menus and then two different people asked us if we wanted the wine list. It seemed a little bit in disarray at first but then things settled down. My wife ordered some minestrone soup and a nice-looking salad (La Bella Salad, I think) and I ordered a plate of chicken parmesan and we just shared everything. Everything was very, very good. The soup was excellent and the pasta and chicken parm were great as well. I could see a gentleman in the back of the restaurant (he's on display... through glass) making homemade pasta which is good to see. Round that one with some red wine and some Italian beer and everything is good. Polite & warm greetings from the hostess and what I think was the owner and an all-around good experience. Salute.

Service very good as was the food. We've dined in Arlington Heights dozens of times and stumbled upon Carlos & Carlos - our first experience there was very good, and we'll return. Try the homemade minestrone soup!
