I had to stay here because the Tegucigalpa airport was closed and the airline gave us a voucher for this place. It was good. The internet was perfect (worked everywhere, only wifi password upstairs and no password at the lobby, I LOVE when it's like that). The food was nice and plentiful (we had free dinner at the hotel) though the breakfast was modest... it was small and few things, actually, I would work on that.
The room I got was in the 10th floor, and the view was much nicer than what I had in a five start hotel the previous nights. Everything was very clean and the bed was huge (or the room was small? Not sure, but I had a good night's sleep).
Oh, the neighborhood isn't the nicest (it is nearby, but getting there was through awful streets...).

A very average hotel in the centra part in Tegucigalpa. The rooms are nice enough and everything worked ok. The breakfast was also average. The location of the hotel is good and quite central. The staff and the service are average and it was a bit typical.

Stayed just next door at their sister property Hotel Libertador. Plaza del General is under same ownership and rooms, service, price, restaurant are of equal quality to Libertador. Both are comfortable, good service, exactly the same rates, I paid a corp rate of $87 dbl w/ taxes & breakfasts included. Breakfasts were not stupendous, but were quite decent. Both these hotels are a reliable, non-budget busting, mid range option in Tegucigalpa. Location is very central, although the immediate neighborhood lacks basic stuff like nice bars, cafes, shops, etc in which to shmooze the off hours. A good option to the budget busting higher end options such as Intercontinental & Marriot.

It's a very average hotel. A good point is that it is in a safe residential area with armed security guards... important in this high-crime town. The hotel decor seems to be based on whatever oddments they could pick up at a local bargain basement -- mismatched wallpapers, lamps tiles, and furniture that have been spread around without any theme or design in mind. The restaurant is OK and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Almost all TV channels are in Spanish and about a third of them are religious shows (mostly evangelicals preaching). There is free wireless internet in the rooms and free computer terminals for use in the lobby. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Once you get past the weird decor it's quite a nice place to stay, but nothing special.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip, the bedrooms are ok but it can be very noisy with a nightclub next door and also a lot of noise coming from the corridor and neighbouring bedrooms.

Wireless costs €10 per 24 hrs and it was a very poor connection.

Breakfast was ok but very expensive.

I will try another hotel on my return to Teguc
