Honduras is a country where contrasts are quite apparent. San Pedro Sula, approached from the airport, looks dreary and industrial. But when you get to the university district, where La Posada B&B is located, you find an attractive neighborhood with good restaurants, homes, and malls. La Posada is a charming home with a lovely courtyard, small pool, kitchen, and generously sized rooms. Furnishings and cabinetry are old-fashioned and quite rich in character. At the owner's recommendation I walked around the corner to the El Costillal Grill, which is outstanding. After years of internal strife Honduras is beginning to turn the corner, but safety remains a serious concern. Thus even delightful places like La Posada are behind steel or wrought iron fences, often topped with razor wire, and police are everywhere. La Posada is as safe and pleasant a B&B as you can find, and I would stay there again.

I and my friends have stayed here quite a few times. I am an expat living in Honduras and need to go into San Pedro Sula and stay overnight 4 or 5 times a year. I feel safe here and have a safe place to park my car. The rooms are clean, comfortable and I must say roomy. The staff is very friendly and helpful, do not speak English but the owner does. The pool is small but clean and a pleasure after a hot day in SPS. It is close to a very good mall and restaurants. I have brought groups here and they have enjoyed the experience

Room tip: I have stayed in 4 different rooms and have no complaints on any

We stayed here and really like the place. The staff, rooms and little court yard was very comfortable. I felt safe. Will definitely go back. Close to all activities. Love their airport pick up and delivery too.

Best place to stay in San Pedro Sula. Very safe location and the staff is very nice and helpful. I had requested a 2:00 pm pick up at the bus terminal and because of issues on the bus I had made it there 2 hours later than I should have. I was without a cell phone so i was unable to let them know of my late arrival and yet when I arrived at the terminal they were still there waiting for me. I am very thankful for them because as an American female, San Pedro Sula is not the safest place to be in alone. Highly recommend!

It is located in a secured place and they do have a driver so it is great if you get to San Pedro Sula Airport (20$). It avoids you the hassle to get a cab and especially explain where the hotel is. Yes because it is not located in a touristic location at all !!! Well San Pedro Sula has very poor interests .... I was just in transit myself. The place is a former home converted into a hotel and located in a high level residential place.
My room was clean, just a bit "aged". I guess the renovation has been done a long time ago but really it doesn't matter ... I slept well !
The pool is ridiculous (but you can guess from pictures). It is a bath to wet yourself if you are too hot ;)

Oh and it comes with a breakfast ! But during my stay, it was the most hideous thing I ever had (I attached a picture). I would have been happy without ! There is a good breakfast at the corner. It is called Denny's. I think they do dinner. It is on your right when you get to the big boulevard (no need to cross it).

So yes go for it but skip the breakfast !
