This place has a special place in my travels. The bar is excellent and the food is great. The new owners have went out of their way to make this an excellent watering hole.

Thank Colonelron

It was so bad it is now closed. Get with the times TripAdvisor! If you want a really nice meal at a nice price and feel safe while you enjoy your meal try the Hotel Rainbow village. It is very close to the airport in La Ceiba. The food is all very fresh. The cook makes all the food herself, no packedge garbage.

I've eaten here many times, a great attractive rooftop eatery with good shishkabobs, steaks and cigars and very cold beer. It's had quite a few owners over the years, but it's managed to stay pretty good. For Honduras it's gotten pretty expensive but not surprising given the clientele is mostly expats, tourists or well healed Catrachos. I would go again without a doubt, it's always fun, and you can getr in fun conversations.

This isn't going to be street food, but they do make a mean meal and it's right across the street from the overpriced gringo souvenir shop. (Make sure you haggle, you're already paying way more than you should be- almost everything there looks like the same stuff you get in every Central American/Latin American airport shop).
The drinks weren't weak, the food was great, and the people were nice. It may or may not be out of the way depending on where you're staying, but in reality, a cab fare should only be 20-30 limpiras per person anyhow, so just suck it up and get some good food.

This is a great restaurant in La Ceiba. It is off the beaten path and caters to Gringos and Latinos alike. the Owners, Linda and Mauricio are great hosts, and go the extram mile to see you are comfortable. Danny, the bartender is accommodating and very friendly. The food is excellent, the service is great, and the beer is cold. What more could you ask for? Thanks Linda, Mauricio and Danny for a great lunch on what otherwise was a not so great day.
