The Relief map and the 2 small amusement parks across the street make for a nice kid friendly break in site seeing. It really gives you a scope of the country - rivers, coasts, mountains

This national treasure is a must see item in Guatemala City. It is a feat of engineering and took engineers 15 years to complete in 1905.It accurately depicts Guatemala in relief and is apparently 1 of only two such maps in the world the other is in India. It gives one a real grasp of the country.
I would have given it a rating of 5 if the water still ran and filled the seas, lakes and rivers and some of the signage renewed. It's a pity the tourism or public works departments don't restore this remarkable map to its full glory.

We went with my kids to show them how is the map of Guatemala. They loved it, but looks poor. It needs more management and colorful. But the architecture is splendid!

The Relief map is amazing. We had a wonderful guide, Jose Campos, who willingly explained and pointed out things we had to see. You could tell he was passionate about his beloved Guatemala, and it made the whole experience so much more interesting and fun than if I would walk around alone just to see it by myself. Well worth a visit for everyone that loves travelling. The map is very impressive.
