Restaurants, bars and malls. I don't want to write that it's hip, trendy and sexy but it is all of that and more. There is so much to do to keep you exploring for at least a month.

Zone Viva/Zone 10 is known for its high level of safety and 24 hour security video coverage. There are lots of professional buildings, restaurants of every caliber, shopping, and hotels.
Although we were discouraged from walking elsewhere in Guatemala City, walking in Zona Viva is safe during both the daytime and the evenings.

Zona Viva is the tourist district of the city, 10 min. driving from the airport and lots of luxurious hotels. You can find any type of restaurant and any type of bar. Safe to walk around. One of my favorite places to party in the city.

This is the place in town to be if you like good food and drinks. Most of it is safe for walking at night, but don't carry briefcases nor laptops, etc. Stay within well lighted areas. Otherwise take a yellow or green cab.

Zona Viva in Guatemala City is a haven for tourists and businessmen while
in the city. it is very safe,!!!
the best hotels in the city are located in this Zone. they have a ton of restaurants
and it safe to walk around at night. i would highly recommend Kacao restaurant
for Guatemalan food, if you are in Zona Viva. there are small markets, beauty parlors, gourmet coffee shops etc.
you can not go wrong here!!
