This is our second stay there, it's adequate and affordable for a business trip when you don't plan to spend much time in the room. Has great sea access, nice and breezy. We got a room with AC, but the AC, while set on the highest, still did not cool the room much until several hours after it was on. Bathroom was ok, except the cold tap on the sink was not working at all, brushing teeth with hot water not the best feeling in the world.

Trying to plug the fridge in to keep the water cool was not the most comfortable, as the outlet was behind the bed, and the fridge cord could only reach to the power strip that dangled under the bed. The fridge also made noise as it switched on and off, like sparks were about to fly out the back of it. Nice and quiet area, and De Tatch is right next door for good breakfast. It's good for what it is, had coffee in the room, (albeit weak).

We stayed at The Seaspray Hotel in Placencia for the first three days of our two week trip, and honestly, I wish we had spent our whole trip here.

Having rented a car, it was wonderful to find that there was free parking available and easy to access. We were checked in and in our room within 5 minutes of arriving. Famished as we were we trekked the horribly long TEN STEPS over to De Tatch. Two words CONCH. FRITTERS. I'm pretty sure from that moment on we ate conch fritters daily, lunch and dinner.

The room was clean and the bed was better than expected for such an affordable room. I spent all three days drinking belikin on the beach while reading in the sun, and man was I sad to leave. The rest of the trip was nice, but Placencia was by far my favorite. I will be back soon and when I do I am absolutely staying at the Seaspray again.

Very pleasant hotel on the beach in a lovely location. A few steps from the ocean and a lovely swim. The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely balcony and an edequate en-suite. Old fashioned wooden building but fabulous place to stay.

Its hard to imagine being happier on a budget! The location deserves more than 5 stars. We were right on the beach, it was seconds to be at the water. The property was quiet and well maintained. We spent very little time in the room because this location is on Placencia's sidewalk. It is walking distance to every place in the village. We enjoyed walking to the Barefoot Bar and Tipsy Tuna with beachfront dining and bars. Placencia is an amazing place. Not too crowded, very convenient. Everyone makes you feel a part of the family. The beds are not as comfortable as some. If you need luxury this may not be a perfect fit for you, We appreciated the value so that we could enjoy more of what Belize has to offer! The staff were great here, we couldn't have been happier

We stayed in the cabana for 2 months this past Dec- Feb. There is not a better place on the peninsula! The cabana has a small efficiency kitchen, 2 beds and a bathroom. Some of the rooms have air conditioners, we have never needed to use the air while there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When you walk off the wraparound porch you are in the sand and another 30ft. You are in the water. The De Tatch restaurant is conviently located right next door with a varied selection of seafood as well as steaks, chops and chicken at reasonable prices. The hotel has rooms to fit everyone's budget. The entire village of Placencia is within walking distance from the hotel.

Room Tip: The cabana, #19, and the sea view rooms all have great views and private balconies
