This is a very cute resort right on the beach. It is small with 8 bungalows and a restaurant/bar. All bungalows have a balcony. We had a great view of the ocean! Service was top notch. They went out of their way to help with anything and everything. Small size made it very personable. We felt like the staff took told accountability for making sure everything was perfect for us - very accommodating! We were concerned about no air conditioning at first but this was not a problem. There was a constant breeze and the ceiling fans kept the room comfortable. Somewhat limited on options to eat with only three within walking distance and not easy access to town, but beautiful location. We would stay here again in a minute! Special thanks to Leo and Haley for the great service!

Our thanks to the owners and staff at the Green Parrot for another wonderful vacation.

We first visited the Green Parrot for our honeymoon and have returned several times now with our daughter. It's the perfect place for someone who truly wants to have a Belize experience. The cabins are rustic and there is no air conditioning or tv. But that's part of the experience, along with falling asleep listening to the waves, waking up to amazing pink sunrises, swimming in the warm water and walking barefoot to the restaurant for amazing food. Our favorite excursions are the Monkey River tour, the Jaguar Preserve, and snorkeling at Silk Caye. A new favorite this year was cave tubing.

The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Leo, Nicole, Ernesto and everyone else were amazing. It makes it very hard to leave! We are already planning our next visit.

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Green Parrot. This is our third vacation at this resort and fully expect to make it a fourth sometime in the future. The cabanas are clean and we'll maintained The bed is very comfortable and night time ocean breezes make for great sleeping. It is amazing to be able to walk out your door onto a pristine beach. The water is clean and you can swim or wade for ever The Green Parrot is a relatively secluded and non pressured place If you are looking for a laid back relaxing atmosphere look no further. The staff is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are well taken care of.

I settled into the Green Parrot for 5 days and haven't felt this relaxed in a long time (or maybe ever). The Belizean-style thatched cabanas are right on the beach and you can hear the waves and feel the ocean breeze when you sleep. I highly recommend this quaint intimate place for those who love the ocean, beach, and a peaceful setting. I wanted to stay somewhere that was Belizean in style and not a big hotel/resort that could be on any shore. The Green Parrot was exactly what I was looking for. The folks at the GP with Leo as their lead are super nice, responsive, and know everything about the area. The food is yummy at the GP, there is a grocery store across the street for staples like beer and plantain chips , and there are other good restaurants within walking distance. The village of Placencia is @8miles away. It was a fun flat bike ride into town - the road is paved and beach cruisers are a main mode of transportation here - but recommend for the times of day when the sun is not in full force. Cab ride is $20 into town and there is a local bus for a fraction of the price. The GP has bikes, sea kayaks, paddle boards for guests to use. Loved watching the sun rise on the ocean, morning walks and morning sea kayaking, reading in the hammock on my cabana (Parrot), and outdoor showers while drinking a cocktail. Ahh, life is good here. Will be back if I am lucky.

Every wad perfect about this place. It's clean, right on the beach, the beds are super comfortable, they're eco friendly, glass bottom kayaks are free and the food is really good. The only draw back is that being about 20 minutes by car from town, you're kind of stuck there. If you're ok with that then this place is perfect. Taxis will pick you up but it's $20 usd per person - that's a lot. We rented a golf cart for 24 hrs for $65 usd from Captain Jacks. It was fun but the room + the golf cart got expensive. We moved closer to town for the last 2 nights to walk around but our place was not as nice as the Green Parrot.
