My family and I spent one night only and sadly it was not enough. The hotel staff are all very welcoming the owners are friendly and are helpful. The beds are comfortable and the meals are soooo good. We all loved it and can’t wait to go back. If I have to find one negative to say is that there was a little sea weed that smelled funky but that didn’t damper our weekend and we still trodded through it to make the most of the kayaks we will be back!

This is a good basic hotel, if you just want a clean, quiet place to sleep. Our main focus was diving so we weren't looking for a "resort". The rooms are on the small side, but efficient. We were in an internal hallway room so there was no view, but that wasn't important to us. The air conditioning worked great and there was plenty of hot water, which was important. There is a restaurant/bar at the restaurant and they had decent food and a good selection of alcohol.

Placencia is an eclectic little town with interesting shops and restaurants. We walked most places, but the hotel has golf carts to rent, which we did one evening when we were a little more dressed up for dinner. Chachi's has great pizza to eat in or to go. Rumfish is a nice restaurant if you want to go upscale a little. I would recommend Omar's for one evening. Delicious food. Our favorite hang out bar was the Pickled Parrot.

I try to get souvenirs that are local and unique to the area. There is a pedestrian walkway with shops and bars that parallels the beach. If you're looking for unique paintings I would go to Art and Soul on the walkway. She has originals and prints by many Belizian artists. The woodworking artisans do beautiful work. There was a gentleman along the walkway that made jewelry and trinkets out of conch shells. He made me a very unique Christmas ornament.

We dove with Seahorse Dive, which was within walking distance of our hotel and they had good ratings on tripadvisor. The divemasters were great. My only complaint was the long boat ride to the dive sites, which they can't control, and the length of the dives. They limited our bottom time to 45 minutes, but we understood it was necessary because of the length of the boat ride to the sites. The shop rinsed and stored our gear for us each evening, which was much appreciated since our rooms were rather small and we didn't have a balcony.

Stayed here in June 2018 for a couple of days to visit placencia. Staff was nice, rooms clean and close to everything. Walk along the beach to the pathway and you can walk around to the local shops. Will be back.

Alan and his staff were incredibly accommodating during our two day stay at the resort. It’s a calm and soothing relaxation place which Accentuates everything I’ve come to know and love about Belize. The prices are fair, the service is beyond anything you’d find and the atmosphere warm and inviting. When you are here you feel like family with no effort involved. Alan recommended a scuba location effortlessly while his staff served us amazing food and drinks. A must stay for weary travelers needing THE SPOT to take full advantage of Belize.

We stayed 3 people in a 2 bed room. It was located in a very nice area of the town right on the beach. Hotel staff were very nice and it was kept very clean. The restaurant had good food too. I would highly recommend this hotel especially with the free use of their kayaks and bikes to get around. I will definitely be returning.
