I stayed at this hotel for 1 night as part of an organised tour, it was an overnight stop between Tikal in Guatemala and Caye Caulker. San Ignacio seemed to be a nice small town with tourist bars and restaurants. The hotel is located on a hill above the town, it took us about 15 minutes to walk to town and 20 minutes to walk back. On arrival the reception area was quite nice, and the grounds and pool looked good too. The wifi worked well in the reception and restaurant but it turned out not to be the case for the rooms.
There was a mix of a main building with rooms and some huts over the grounds, we stayed in the main building. There was no lift but porters helped with bags. My room wasn't that great, it looked dated and at the same time gave the impression of when somewhere has just been renovated but hasn't yet been cleaned. The bed was large and comfortable, but there was no mattress protector and someone else in our group who looked at their mattress said it looked pretty dire. The bathroom wasn't particularly well laid out, there was a step up to get in and another step up to the sink area. There was no bath tub just a shower, and the hot water wasn't particularly reliable.

We had both lunch and breakfast at the hotel. The lunch options were limited due to a function at the hotel that evening, but what was available was nice and reasonably priced. Service was a little slow when using the bar in the evening. Their breakfast menu looked really good, but as we had breakfast included they laid on a small buffet for us.
This was ok, there was fruit and mango juice as well as coffee, scrambled eggs, sausage, refried beans, and some waffles.
Overall this hotel was ok for an overnight stop but I wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. There are a couple of nicer placs in San Ignacio, and staying closer to the town itself would be more convenient.More
