The resort is not within walking distance to San Pedro (unless you like really long walks) and we chose it for its Caribbean style charming and relaxing cabins. We had a bedroom and a separate living area with a kitchenette (and a working fridge to keep the water cold!). The air conditioner helped keep the room at a pleasant temperature. The staff was helpful and accommodating, and we were able to check in early. Also, we received a couple of complimentary rum punches!
You can rent golf carts and bicycles for the day, but we noticed that the carts rented in town were of better quality. The little golf cart can take you anywhere on the island, the bumpy roads added to the adventure.
The food at the bar was weak and pricey compared to the other places we ate at. There is a dive shop on-site which we used to go on a snorkeling trip. The resort has a small beach but unfortunately no access to the water. They are in the process of re-building the beach destroyed by the hurricane, so hopefully there will be access to the sea in the near future and all the seaweed will be cleaned. In the meantime, the pool is a small consolation. You can take walks up and down the beach.
Overall, it was a good and memorable stay.
