there are so many things I can complain about for this resort.

1) As a resort, we expect the resort to have different tours and activities that can be reserved through them. There were many times my friends and I went into the hotel to get a tour reserved but the front desk NEVER reserved them. They wouldn't even call or let us know in any way

2) The day before our last day in Belize, we had some laundry to do and they told us we would have to come in at 7 a.m. to get it by that afternoon. So I came in at 7 to drop it off expecting it to be in my room by the afternoon. I came back to my hotel room by 9 p.m. to find out the laundry not in my room. The reception wasn't open so we had to go to someone else to pick up our laundry ONLY for the housekeeping to tell us they didn't get to our laundry because they stop working at 5 p.m. IF WE REQUEST SOMETHING BY A SPECIFIC TIME, IT SHOULD BE DONE. SO we got our laundry back all unfolded. In addition, they had messed up one of our sweaters

- The next day we came in to be compensated for our laundry but the manager wasn't there and never replied to our calls.

3) The resort itself smells and the amenities need to be updated, we found mold on some things. The wi-fi SUCKS.

4) The resort does need lead to the beach like the pictures show, very misleading.

5) This resort has a lack of communication and customer service skills. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

We really enjoyed our time at Royal Caribbean. It was on the south side of town and it was away from the hustle and bustle. Which we loved. The room was clean, the AC was cold. The pool was great and you could sit and relax and enjoy the water from the pool. There was seawall damage being repaired but we were told upon check-in the beach was public and it was super easy to go next door and enjoy their seawall and water access and no one had any problems with it. The staff were helpful and kind. Answered our questions and helped us with calling for cabs etc. We ended up renting a golf cart to explore on our own and the cart we rented from there was fine. It got us from A to B. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back and stay here again. I liked being away from the town and the quiet atmosphere. It was perfect for a getaway with the hubby.

Overall I loved this resort and had a very relaxing stay. The grounds were really pretty and well cared for. The front desk and other staff on the grounds were extremely friendly. The pool was clean and both the beach and pool area always had available chairs. The restaurant/bar had great food/drinks/service and the servers were really friendly. The resort was also a short walk to diving.

My only two comments would be that the kitchen area would be better if it had a small cook top. The rooms got a nice breeze and had fans, but I think in the summer would get quite warm without AC. It was fairly hot during the day when I was there and the room was as well. Fortunately I was there in Jan so after the sun went down it cooled off and the room did as well.

Room tip: see if there are any rooms with AC

Hi Melissa! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and you are welcome back any time! We have both rooms with and without A/C available. Our Rustic room which you booked is our budget option without A/C. I hope that helps to clarify!

Surely the most disinterested staff ever .
Draft beer taps but only bottled beer .

Didn't eat but friends said breakfast was not great .

Staying at resort but only have one beer after diving as place is devoid of atmosphere, humour and pretty much everything.

Would I go back ? Absolutely not to the bar .

The hotel itself is absolutely fabulous. Loved our room although wi fi poor and electric went off a few times . I know wifi not important to everyone but it is if you need to contact friends in other resorts .

Check in / reception staff lovely and setting fabulous

Sort out that stupid bar/ restaurant

We walked along the beach most evenings to town ( 40 minutes) which was lovely . Taxi back though after beer / cocktails

Hi there,

Thank you for the wonderful review about the resort staff.
We really do our best to give our guests the most positive experience. We are truly sorry about the mistreatment of the staff at the bar. We hope though that after things have changed since you will return to us and a corrective experience,

All the best,

The resort is not within walking distance to San Pedro (unless you like really long walks) and we chose it for its Caribbean style charming and relaxing cabins. We had a bedroom and a separate living area with a kitchenette (and a working fridge to keep the water cold!). The air conditioner helped keep the room at a pleasant temperature. The staff was helpful and accommodating, and we were able to check in early. Also, we received a couple of complimentary rum punches!

You can rent golf carts and bicycles for the day, but we noticed that the carts rented in town were of better quality. The little golf cart can take you anywhere on the island, the bumpy roads added to the adventure.

The food at the bar was weak and pricey compared to the other places we ate at. There is a dive shop on-site which we used to go on a snorkeling trip. The resort has a small beach but unfortunately no access to the water. They are in the process of re-building the beach destroyed by the hurricane, so hopefully there will be access to the sea in the near future and all the seaweed will be cleaned. In the meantime, the pool is a small consolation. You can take walks up and down the beach.

Overall, it was a good and memorable stay.
