Low-key budget-friendly B&B. Staff (Greg, Luis and Maria) will make you feel at home. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable (travel light). Beds are top-notch. Air-con great! Superb breakfast served every morning at 0730 until later in the morning. It is close to 'downtown' San Pedro (consider renting a golf cart- they will help you) and close to the airport. Tip: get up early and walk the beach either way or take your golf cart to Rubie's for a Belizean-style breakfast experience and coffee before breakfast is served at the B&B. There is a beach just two minutes down from the B&B (go right at the end of the alley) with recliners, palm trees and groomed sand at a complex under remodeling. You will have the beach to yourself and it is perfect for just relaxing! Island Daiquiris, a small bar, is right next to the B&B (run by the same people) and has wonderful tapas (light meals) like sliders. We saw several other resorts in San Pedro that beckon us in future visits but we enjoyed our stay at Changes very much! Maria even decorated our room for our 40th anniversary upon arrival. She is the sweetest maid ever! When my wife forgot her water-bottle on the day we left, Maria and Luis delivered it to the water-taxi terminal..... filled with ice-water....thank-you so much! We will be back!

I have nothing but positive to say about our stay at Latitudes. The hosts were gracious and helpful, the breakfasts delicious. The room was clean with access to the outside. The only thing I can say negative is the rooms are very small. I ended up sleeping on the top bunk since the small double bed would have been so hot with my husband. Having said that, we never did turn on the air con. Also, we loved the outdoor seating and close beach access. We would stay there again.

We stayed 4 nights at Changes in Latitudes during our visit to San Pedro. This was our first time in San Pedro and upon arriving at the B&B, we knew that we had picked the right place to call home for the next couple days. We stayed in the Aquarium room (#2) and would definitely recommend this room as it faces the courtyard (rather than being down a corridor w/o a view). Also, this room is nestled between Room 1 which is next to the check-in office and Room 3 which is next to the main road. Buffers from noise on both sides - we didn't have any issues with road noise.

The breakfasts were fresh, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared by Greg. Each morning we would look forward to what would be served. Over the 4 days we had: pancakes topped w/ fresh bananas and toasted coconut, huevos rancheros served on freshly fried tortillas, cinnamon french toast (my favorite!), and scrambled eggs with toast and jam. There was also a slice of bacon, fresh juice, and coffee every morning =). He puts a lot of effort into making the breakfasts great and you can taste it.

We also received a complimentary daiquiri at Island Daiquiri's which is right next door. This is a tapas & bar tended to by Greg and Luis. Get the green daiquiri - I don't remember the flavor but I tasted all 4 flavors and this was the winner - hands-down!

The B&B courtyard has a cute sitting area with lounge chairs, a hammock and umbrellas, outdoor showers, and dive lockers (for each room) to hang up wet beach gear. They also provide free beach cruisers for guests to check-out. We didn't want to rent a golf cart as they can be pricey, so we used the bikes on 2 days and biked to the northern and southern parts of the island. Definitely recommend doing so. After having biked past a lot of the other hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, etc around the island, we were very happy with our decision to stay here. The rates are very reasonable especially with the daily breakfasts. The rooms are cozy and clean.

Would not hesitate booking Changes in Latitudes for our next trip to San Pedro.

Room Tip: Aquarium Room (#2) has the best location and is perfect for 1-2 people. Has a view into the courtyard and is quiet.

I can't say enough nice things about this place!!! Upon checking in, the owner Greg greeted us and gave us a phone to use for local calls on the island and offered to get our room ready for us several hours early since we arrived before check in. The room while small is very clean and has all of the essentials you would need plus some thoughtful extras. EXCELLENT air conditioning, free RELIABLE wifi, refrigerator, great water pressure in the shower, and even face wipes to remove your make up at night. Greg and Luis also let us use bikes to explore the island for the duration of our stay which saved us a lot of money. It was a very nice perk. They have clothes lines in back to hang your wet clothes after water sports, which is something you might not think of, but came in extremely handy. The bed and breakfast is very close to the beach, a minute walk, which made it very easy for me to jog on the beach several mornings during our stay. There is an outdoor seating area at the B&B that is great for lounging and relaxing with wine or beer. Greg and Luis even came out to hang out with us if they were free. It was a very laid back and fun atmosphere. And last but definitely not least... The BREAKFASTS!!! OMG! Greg is amazing!!! Maria too. I don't think I have ever eating such great food in the morning. Greg went to culinary arts school, and you can for sure tell! I felt spoiled at breakfast. Each day it's a surprise and you are brought out whatever they decide to make that day, which I thought was neat. My favorite was Greg's interpretation of egg's Benedict. HOMEMADE English muffins (that were to die for), with local ham (that he got that morning!!!) a poached egg (cooked perfectly), a spinach purée and fresh spinach leaves, with a homemade hollandaise sauce. Everything was from scratch! Wow! We are already talking about our next visit. And we of course plan to stay here.

This fall, my husband and I traveled to San Pedro with a goal of completing our Dive Certification. Changes in Latitudes Bed and Breakfast added to our amazing experience. Greg and Luis go above and beyond. Their hospitality and knowledge of the island is over and beyond what would be received at other locations. The rooms were clean and the complimentary breakfast was out of this world! Due to the wonderful experience, we extended our stay on the island for two additional days. The location is perfect...close to all travel needs. We would recommend Changes in Latitudes Bed and Breakfast to all travelers.
