Great experience staying a loft room with two teens. One thing I didn't realize is that there is no divider with the bedroom. It's more of a studio downstairs and the loft is separated by stairs to the side. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the Front office very accommodating. Nice walk to the restaurants, but far enough away to be more private. Disappointed that they only had two bikes to let us use. Otherwise, nice property.

Room tip: Wifi isn't the greatest, but you are on vacation, so it wasn't our priority.

This hotel was in a nice location close to most things in San Pedro. We took a cab from the water taxi with our luggage but walked everywhere after that.
Our room was a good size and clean and on the ground floor.
The grounds are lovely with lots of palm trees and great views of the water.
Hot water is from tankless water heaters - the trick is to turn it on just until it is hot - turn it all the way and it gets much cooler.

Room tip: Upper floor rooms are probably quieter. We could hear people walking above us and the hotel was not that busy. Walls are quite thin also.

To start off San Pedro is not a "fancy" over the top type of place. The people are friendly and the food fresh and very affordable.

Caribbean Villas is the quenissential shabby chic sort of place where the guests are respectful and the staff quiet and very attentive. We went for a quick weekend trip and took the ferry in from Belize City which is not so much a scenic route as much as a long ride as I really wanted to get to the beach.

The resort is clean and in the perfect location where you are not in the heart of the bustling city but at a close enough distance that the walk is no more than 20 minutes to the city center. The resort itself is nestled a little off the Main Street but all you hear or see is the wind blowing through the palms with the ocean as a steady background soundtrack. The ocean is calm almost like a cove. It's a nice flat stretch of beachfront with non-waterized water activities abound. Initially you think that there won't be enough attention paid as the check-in area is a trailer converted into office space but the staff is accommodating and in uniform. The food is basic but there's no long wait and it is served up with a smile. There's a huge slide that drops you directly into the ocean right in front of the hidden pier bar which literally we didn't see until the last night. Huge bouncy float with oversized black inter-tubes to play /tan on.

This is a 3 star resort but it's 4 star clean and situated. I went to other properties to compare but still would have stayed here. Very nice stay in a place that you sort of want to call in sick and extend your stay. San Pedro and this resort are a perfect combination with golf cart rentals onsite all day at $70....you may think you can walk and be satisfied but you need the cart to get the full experience of this lovely little island with huge character. Be sure to cross the bridge and go over to the other side of the island which is having a building boom of its on... Please note that if you stay across the bridge it's a totally different experience bc you are removed from the island vibe all together. If you don't want to eat with the locals and don't want to stroll to the beachfront restaurants, bars and shops you stay on the other side of the bridge and stay at Captain Morgan's where for sure a beautiful resort but you will be at the resort as once you cross the bridge you might as well be in Puerto Rico...

The property itself is nice. The beds are comfy. I slept like a baby each night. The food is good! Fruits are fresh. The bar and wait staff are nice. Say hello to Glenn the bartender and tell him Jessica and Ashley said hi! The location is great. It's kind of away from everything else. Easy to book excursions from the hotel office. Great place to nap while catching some rays on the beach.

The hotel needs a lot of repair and the restaurant should not be closed in the middle of the day. We found it not even usable for the schedule we were on and didn't eat there once. We tried but they were also rude
