From the outside, it is a corner unit in a small strip mall. Unassuming and uninspiring. Walked in the door and there is a bar to the left (door open), and a closed door to the right. After waiting in the "foyer" for about 10 minutes and nobody came to greet us, we poked our head into the bar to ask if the restaurant was open. Once inside the restaurant, it has a nice, albeit dimly lit, romantic eating area. I mention the dimly lit because without the flashlight function on our iPhones, we would have not been able to read the menu. The Mozzarella and Marinara was yummy. Essentially a thick slice of mozzarella, rather than slicing it to make individual mozzarella sticks. Chicken parmigiana was okay. The tomato sauce lacked flavor and was overly watery/thin. The shrimp and linguine also suffered from thin tomato sauce that didn't cling to the pasta. The description also stated it was a "spicy" tomato sauce. Ragu Traditional is spicier than what was served with this dish. The shrimp were BIG, and perfectly cooked. The pasta on the other hand was over cooked. Its hard to imagine that a restaurant that devotes as much to ambiance and creating a intimate customer experience would fall flat on the food front. But that was the case this time. We'll try it again in a few months and see if this was just a bad experience or if it typifies the experience one can expect.
