Went with another couple. Service and food were excellent. Selections and wine choices are very good. The big issue for us was the noise level. The restaurant was extreme in its noise level. Conversation across a table for four required near shouting. I was hoarse at the end of the evening.

We will try again in the summer when there is outside seating. That should allow conversation.

To quote Jerry Seinfeld, "You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them."

It was a dark and frustrating start to our night. As is typical of the Avalon experience, it took some time to find a parking spot. We did arrive on time for our reservation but we still waited 45 minutes in the lobby area. This seems to be a common complaint with some other reviewers - clearly management needs to work on their reservation system. If not for the significant delay, I would have rated Rumi's five circles. Perhaps Rumi's should pad the dining times to factor in table "campers." However, the manager in charge during our visit brought complimentary hummus to our table as an apology, and it was creamy and delicious. The roasted chickpeas on top were a nice surprise. So, once we were finally seated, our meal was quite fabulous.

We had eggplant dip to start, and I ordered the roasted salmon, which was the best I've had in a long time and cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the ground chicken kabob and enjoyed it as well. Rumi's rice is worth the carb indulgence. Go for it. Portions are huge and can be shared or saved for another meal at home. Service (Alex) was friendly and attentive.

I would probably go again but not on a weekend at the peak dinner hour. Or perhaps we will try their Sandy Springs location.

If you don’t have a reservation, be prepared for a long wait. The food is really good and proportions are bing enough to shared. The complimentary dish of olives, feta and bread is amazing. You can’t go wrong.

Great restaurant with excellent service and food. I was here for the first time with my sister and her 5 month old son, we were well received and welcomed by Mr. Ruben S who made sure that we had everything we needed during our visit. One of the best food and service experiences I had so far, absolutely recommended.
