My wife and I stay here at least once a year for business. The property was updated last year and is in good condition. Average for other Days inn we stay at.
Pro's... The AC works well and is controllable. The hotel is on the main drag. Its neat in appearance. Amy, one of the owners is VERY friendly and runs the front desk. The beds are comfortable with PLENTY of pillows+++. The TV has a ton of channels. The other things not mentioned are average Days in quality. Now for the negatives...The bathroom needs more lighting. More fixtures needed. Its that dim. The two Ice machines don't work. I haven't seen them to work for either of our last two or three visits there (two of three years)Totally unacceptable. Even when the hopper is empty a quality well maintained machine will produce ice. The city, county and or state taxes price was literally 1/3 of our total bill of two day stay. I know the hotel doesn't have control over this fact but beware of sticker shock. Breakfast is a minimum...no meat, eggs. TONS of carbs though. With attention to details this would be a 4-5 star rated property.
This is a great location if you require an overnight stay in Andalusia. My room included a microwave and small fridge and looked like it had been recently updated. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the room was clean and quiet, and check-in was pleasant. The old style a/c unit was loud, but I got used to it. The rate of $64 plus tax was the second best for lodging near Conecuh National Forest. I would stay there again.
We were on the 1st floor, easy in and easy out. Soon after we checked in, a family of about 6 and their friends started partying. There was several children playing outside our door, and it was very noisy. The next thing the next morning. The best thing about the stay was the bed, which was quite comfortable.
