“Good value, decent location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2012

I chose this hotel primarily because it was convenient to a conference I was attending. It is convenient to the Metro, thus easy to get to, there are several good restaurants in the area, including one of my favorites, First Farmers. The hotel restaurant was quite nice for dinner as well although some confusion ensued when meeting a friend since there are two entrances - one from the street and one from the hotel through the bar (effectively the bar is in the back) The bar itself is quite small and closed rather early. The room was actually a very spacious suite (bathroom was small but updated) and quite comfortable.

Room Tip: My room faced the street and received good light.

Perfect hotel to explore Washington. Near to subway, valet parking if coming from outside the City. Large rooms, very comfortable and reasonable price. Very helpful front desk. The only gripe, being the the breakfast was expensive for what it consisted of. Would definitely book this hotel when visiting DC

Hotel has some definite flaws; staff worked hard to compensate for them in my case, but certain things can't be fixed. Heat is a noisy and windy fan under the window. Problem is, cold air leaks in from under it, which can be an issue when the windchill hits 15F (my case) and you tend to sleep on the floor over the covers after 2-3 nights in an always too-soft hotel bed. And their beds really were not good (I tried two, since heat was off on my original room). No workout facilities, although they gave me one of their business cards to take to their "sister property" a few blocks claiming they would let me use them. Went to the Y instead. The very small lobby is located after the elevator entrance, a security flaw, as someone could go up unnoticed. And elevators are REALLY slow. Overall an ok hotel, convenient if you have business at GWU or State Dept. Otherwise I'm sure you can do better for the price on discount websites.

We couldn't have found a better location. A walking distance from lincoln memorial, many supermarkets, and m street (which is where you do all the shopping!). We suggest you don't take taxis, they're quite over priced. Public transport is cheaper. There was free WiFi in our room. The king room includes a very comfortable king bed and a not-so comfortable sofa bed, a flat screen, fridge, microwave, sink (+insinkerator),coffee maker, drawers, closet, coffee table, table and basic toiletries. All the museums and main attractions are within a close distance. Would come back again. Experienced people at check-in who help with any problem.

This place was a hidden gem on a recent work trip down to DC!

Very affordable (unlike alot of what was available), clean, beautiful, utterly serviceable.

Near the subway station, nice area, alot in walking distance.

Room Tip: We asked for a room with a pull out. The views aren't great but we didn't stay for the views...
