This bakery was next to the Days Inn, where we stayed for the weekend. It was very busy, especially on Saturday morning, and there is not much seating, though there is some outdoor space. The doughnuts, biscotti, and English muffins were to die for. If I lived in DC, I would be at this place all the time and likely weigh 400 pounds. Skip Starbucks and go patronize this place instead. You will be amazed.

Some sort of breakfast sandwich. Crispy but soft. Went down a treat with their Coffee. Does a roaring trade with locals and tourists. They have outside seating. Even if you are not staying in Van Ness this is worth a spin up to the area to see outside the centre.

Came on a Sunday morning and met three friends. Busy happy casual bakery with some indoor and outdoor seating. Sooo yummy. Messy Egg on a handmade English muffin with bacon and cheese. Excellent croissants and the canale was amazing. The graham crackers were great. Great coffee and lattes. Loved the glass wall to watch the bread making. Will come here often. I want a branch nearer to home.

Picked up cookies, muffins and bread for a family dinner. Pumpkin muffins, triple chocolate cookie, rugellah, all great. Sourdough bread loaf was awesome for the soup course.

No sugar free items, wish they had them.

Breadfurst is a neighborhood icon run by Mark Furstenberg, the Beard Baker of the Year in 2017. It has a great vibe, great pasteries, great bread, great deli foods, great people, great service....it's all special and very popular.
