We had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. The wines perfectly complimented the food in every course. We especially liked the Roasted Lamb shoulder dish, fall apart tender with a crispy crust. The service was excellent and we were not rushed. It was everyone we expected from a fine dining experience. We will definitely be eating here again on our next visit to Washington.

Located near our hotel, chosen from Trip Advisor. Without a reservation we got a table early Friday evening(5:30) but it was booked full for the rest of the evening. Ornate red interior creates an interesting atmosphere. Staff in very formal attire, were attentive but not engaging. The other diners appeared to be upscale and urban. I was in jeans and a flannel shirt, which may have contributed to the rather distant attitude of staff. But our service was excellent.
We had several tapas plates, including jambon with manchego, shrimp casserole, grilled octopus with potatoes. I love octopus, and this was the most tender I have ever eaten.
Our food was excellent. The pans of paella delivered to tables near us looked outstanding.
Fine dining with authentic Spanish food. Not cheap but very very good.

Excellent Spanish cuisine in an elegant setting. We decided on a variety of tapas including jamon, patatas bravas and olives. Some of the best tapas we’ve had outside of Spain. The pitcher of Sangria was refreshing. The wait staff was excellent. We had a very enjoyable evening.
