Stopped by this little quaint Bakery on our way back from the Newseum. First visit consisted of a cup of coffee and a shared pastry specifically an almond croissant with chocolate filling. Delicious! The next day we found ourselves in the same neighborhood and decided to grab a late lunch which consisted of a small French bread sandwich, one which was ham and swiss and the other was mozzarella and prosciutto. Both were excellent but missing a little moisture hence some Dijon or some mayo. This was remedied by going to the counter and asking for what we needed. So many pastries so little time. Would definitely visit again!

A good range of snacks (baguettes. etc) and pastries. Friendly and helpful staff. Seemed to be popular with both visitors and locals.

Visited Paul’s during the Spring Meetings of the WB/IMF. This restaurant is popular with WB/IMF staff and DC visitors. The French onion soup was a good choice.

What a lovely little french cafe - great upstairs area for breakfast - love the baroque theme and gorgeous artwork on the walls.

Strangely, the chef that makes your breakfast also takes your order. It's a nice touch except for his food stained clothing, but that can be overlooked.

The food is good and the atmosphere very Parisian.

One thing you just have to stop doing is charging for condiments like jam. You're not the cheapest establishment, and I'm sure you can afford condiments.

On your way out be sure to grab authentically baked artisanal breads and pastries.

Have always had breakfast in Paul’s Georgetown when visiting DC. Today was very disappointing. Husband had poached eggs which were swimming in water on the plate. I ordered yogurt with fruit and granola. It came up with no granola. Was told they didn’t have any. I couldn’t eat it without as it was very sharp so returned it. Wasn’t offered an alternative. The waiter didn’t seem happy In his job. We felt it was all too much trouble for him.
Went back at lunch time for a filled roll. $20 for two cheese rolls was outrageous! Won’t
be returning on our next visit !
