I had the pleasure of hosting a group of 157 people for a visit to the NMAAHC. This was a four day trip and it was four unbelievable days. From the moment of the site visit at the Courtyard at 9th and F, I knew that my group would be in great hands. Nigist, Robyn and Karen,to name a few, did everything they could to make us feel like family. If I asked, they made it happen. From the bell desk to the front desk to the kitchen staff, we were amazed at the attention to detail everyday to our needs. Registration was painless. With our late arrival and early departure for the tour the next morning, they had a system to avoid long lines to pick up keys. The hotel was strategically located and the accommodations were perfect. Since we needed three buses for pick up and delivery, the staff moved traffic and blocked space for us each day. Organized and efficient was the overall experience. But the most outstanding memory was the scrumptious buffet breakfast each morning. This group is not shy when it comes to eating. I warned them before our arrival that they may want to order extra food. Not sure if it was normal service but they kept hot food coming and they did not run out of anything. We had an early start for the museum and they started breakfast 30 minutes early to accommodate our schedule. Who does that?? The kitchen staff was unbelievable. At the risk of missing someone, let me just say, the entire buffet service kitchen crew were all outstanding. They were friendly and made us feel like we were at grandmas for breakfast each morning. Kudos to everyone who touched our lives during our visit. You are all part of our extended family now and Family and Friends Travelers from the Bay Area will cherish the memories we made in DC thanks to all of you. Until we meet again. . .

Amazing hotel for location and staff!! When we arrived, we were greeted and checked in by Amin Muslin. He is truly what the bar should be set at. He was friendly and made sure we received the perfect room, additionally each night when we got back in (around 10:30 pm) he was all smiles and remembered our names with a hello and asking how our day was. He gave great suggestions on food, fun and information on the city. Really, they are lucky to have him and the rest of the fantastic staff that were so helpful and have great personalities.
Location just simply can’t be beat. It is right across the street from the Spy Museum, around the corner from Ford Theater, and a block from the Metro Train (metro bus stop is practically outside the door however we didn’t use the bus). It is also easy walking distance from all of the major attractions; National Mall, National Archives, Smithsonian Museums and the White House. Most of those just about 3 blocks away. There are several restaurants close by or in the hotel. Truly if you are going to stay in Washington DC this is a great hotel! I would highly recommend it.

It was so refreshing to see excellent service again, front office were efficient and courteous, rooms needs upgrading, but overall great stay, the location is great, having a car costs you quite a bit to park it overnight

If your seeking a good hotel and a great location, look no further. The Courtyard Washington Convention Center is your place. It's one block from a Metro stop if your coming from Reagan National and a couple blocks from Constitution Avenue and all the museums. Plus there is good, affordable food within a block or two.
The hotel itself was a little different. It's in a building that used to be a bank so don't expect the traditional lobby and the usual hotel common spaces. The lobby is small and somewhat uninviting but front desk staff were great and quickly helped you see past the limitations. Many of the common areas were down a flight of stairs in a windowless basement area--pool, exercise rooms, computer work stations, and a seating area. I wouldn't say that was good or bad but I think potential guests need to know.

The rooms were small but very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. Elevators were quick. Hallways and common areas were quiet.

We enjoyed the hotel very much and can recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up get you above any street noise.

Reserved a jr. suite but arrived around noon and found none of the jr suites were ready nor had much of a view so very pleasant young lady at front desk helped us find a king room with a view of F st. And we checked in early. Room was a little quirky. There was a pillar to the left of the bed (building was a former bank) and the bathroom was small. Small meaning you had to shut the door to open the shower door. Towels scratchy but adequate. Those were my only 2 minor complaints. Housekeeping did a great job daily and to be honest, this is not the town where you spend much time in your room. Did not use the pool but peeked in. It is in basement and small but if you are traveling with kids it's perfect.
Good Eats nearby: Starbucks availabile in basement. Breakfast available Gordon Bierce is attached to lobby but did not eat there since we have one in my hometown. We ate directly across the street at The Smith. Was very good and typical price for a meal in the city. Green Turtle Sports Bar had nice menu and beer selection. Carmens for Italian, but beware it is family style so LOTS of food. Food trucks galore along the mall on the weekends. They thin out on Monday.
Good central location, $20 cab/uber ride from Reagan airport, reasonably priced and endless things too see and do. Would recommend and also stay here again.
